Last night kind of felt like a fairytale. Like I was Cinderella attending the most magical ball! You see, Kevin and I got to watch our dear friend Kaley marry Karl, the love of her life, last night at the most beautiful wedding ever! Honestly, I kept joking all night that I loved it even more than my own wedding!!! It was just so heartfelt, beautiful and exciting! I also kept saying “this is the best night of my life!” Ha! I think now that I’m a parent, I just appreciate and enjoy going out more. Especially without the kiddos. I was having a blast every moment last night and I definitely didn’t take one second of our night out for granted.
The invitation said “Dress to Impress!” so that’s exactly what Kevin and I did! Kevin wore the suit that he wore to our wedding and I wore this gorgeous gown by Eliza J.

This dress is truly so perfect for my postpartum body. It hit my waist in just the right spot and the A-line of the skirt went out so my baby pouch of fat was perfectly hidden. I know some of you think I don’t have a “baby pouch” because I hide it well with my clothes, but I assure you I do. Maybe if I’m I feel brave enough at some point to share a picture of it with you guys I will. I’m just good at finding clothes that hide it.

I love wearing maxi dresses or gowns right now because I am able to wear either flats or heels with a low heel. I was planning on wearing flats last night, but the dress was just slightly too long and I was too lazy to get it hemmed. So I ended up wearing my “high” heels that are VERY low! So low that they are actually comfortable! I had a blast wearing them! No sore feet for this mama this morning π
I hope you all had a great weekend as well! I am definitely hurting a little bit this morning. But back to reality! And my reality is a toddler, an infant and the best husband ever! I love my reality π

I saw your home photos in People Magazine and they look great! Could you please tell me where you purchased the white and green wreath that you have hanging over your bed.
Hi Ali,
I’m curious what bra you wore with the dress (if any). I know I couldn’t go braless while I was breastfeeding, and strapless bras just weren’t enough support. But you look amazing in this dress!
I honestly didn’t wear a bra. The bodice of the dress has a ton of support because of the structure of it. I just put leak pads on the inside of it just in case π I also brought my pump to the wedding! Ha!
Holy smokes you look gorgeous!!! That dress is killer… my favorite thing about the photos is that your cute husband obviously couldn’t keep his hands off you -his hand is on your tush in most of the pics – which is absolutely adorable. It is fun to see you 2 so in love and happy on your night out.
Such a stunning dress and a perfect choice to wear to a wedding!
