Morning! I’m actually off to my future sister-in-law’s bridal shower this morning. So I thought this would be a good opportunity to share a blog post about possible dresses to wear to a bridal shower or even a wedding. They are all non-maternity, but ALSO work for maternity, so they are great for everyone!
I am super short on time (the shower starts in less than 2 hours and I’m a bridesmaid so I have to pick up the food on my way!) so I don’t have a a ton of time to write about each look. But I’ll say a few things about why I love the looks and link to the original blog posts for each one so you can get a more detailed review!
OPTION ONE
I haven’t posted about this first dress before so I don’t have a blog post to link to, but I will say that this dress is soooo comfy! I actually might wear this one today. Like all the dresses in this post, it’s non-maternity and I love the print on it. I just think the colors are so pretty that it makes a gorgeous dress for a bridal shower. It actually would be a great dress to wear to a gender reveal party as well since it’s pink and blue. And yes, I have gender reveals on my mind right now. Ha! I paired it with a comfortable pair of fringe heels and a clutch.

OPTION TWO
The second option is a favorite of mine. I wore this dress to a party that Molly and I went to a little while ago and I got so many compliments on it! It’s definitely more pricey than most of my dresses, but it’s definitely worth it for all the gorgeous details. I again wore my comfy pair of fringe heels and fun BoHo statement earrings. OPTION THREE
Since the last option was on the pricier side, I thought I’d share a super affordable dress for my third option! This dress is only $20! I’m absolutely in love with it but there are some things to consider before you buy it. Make sure you check out my blog post on this dress HERE before you purchase. Because you will need to wear a slip under it and use some double-sided tape. But at $20 I just couldn’t turn it down. The detail on the sleeves is just too gorgeous. Plus I think Molly’s dress is just so cute with it. This would also be good book to go to a gender reveal party because Molly’s in blue and I’m in pink.

I LOVE the color on the first dress. Actually I love all of them haha. So pretty!! Hope the shower is fun π
Congratulations, Jillian!
I really like your embroidered ‘Alice in Wonderland’ dress.
I’m excited for the gender reveal!
Have fun at the shower.

Hi Ali,
I love your blog! So many great tips for moms and fashion! My husband and I are in the process of adopting our foster daughter and this is probably going to sound cheesy, but I really would love to wear matching mommy and me outfits for the court hearing when she officially becomes our forever daughter. I have been trying to do some research and find some matching dresses or skirts and tops (we need to be dressy) for us but I havenβt had much luck! I was wondering if you had any ideas for me, I would really appreciate your help!! Thanks so much for all of your honesty and transparency on being a mom, your tips and advice have been really helpful to me!
Thanks,
Meredith
PS- my daughter wears 9-12 month clothing and I am size 4 or a small to medium depending on the fit, if that helps.
I just wanted to jump on here real quick to say I, for one, don’t think it’s cheesy at all to wear matching outfits…..I find it touching and very heart-warming! I’m sure Ali will be along to provide some ideas.
My sister did this when she adopted my niece. I think it’s such a sweet idea. Congrats π
My heart is so happy for your family, she’s your daughter & you aren’t being cheesy at all, so wear those matching dresses. Congratulations she’s one blessed little girl to be getting such an awesome mommy.
Good relaxing and sensual shower …
I wonder how I would paint you.
I love ALL the dresses you featured, Ali! My absolute favourite one, though, has got to be that first one. The blue colour is simply divine. π

Great color choice, Ali. The second dress is good, but I am loving the first one even more. The floral dress is awesome.
