Hey Luvs! Happy Friday! Sorry I’ve been kind of MIA from Instagram Story lately. It’s just been such a busy week already. This week was especially busy because I had some meetings about fun things I’ll hopefully be sharing with you guys soon! After a very sad start to the week, I am trying to remain positive and look towards the future.
I originally bought this outfit to wear in New York when Kevin, Molly and I went last week, but I didn’t get a chance. So the other day for my meetings was the perfect time to wear it.
The base of the look is my black bodysuit. I’ve tried out a lot of black bodysuits in my day and they either never fit right or after I bought them, they stretched out super fast and weren’t wearable after a few washes. So I finally broke down and bought a better quality body suit. So far I’ve worn this one several times and washed it several times and it holds up perfectly. It’s not for everyone, since it is something you have to save for. But I just wanted to share it with you guys because I just really think the quality is worth the price.
My reddish orange pencil skirt is also slightly more than I normally spend on an outfit but it’s just so fabulous that I couldn’t resist. The structure of the skirt is not only incredible quality, but it’s ridiculously flattering. I felt so skinny while wearing it. I got a size US 8 but had to get it taken in in the waste a little bit. So maybe the US 6 would have fit me better. I just have wide hips and didn’t want the skirt to be any more snug in the hips. So it was worth it to me to just get the waist taken in a little bit to get the exact fit that I wanted. It’s the type of skirt that’s super appropriate for the office but will also turn heads. I’m all for finding a super cute skirt that will catch the eye of that office cutie you’ve been crushing on.
My skirt is really perfect for Fall because it looks so good with over-the-knee boots. These black over-the-knee boots are great quality, super comfortable, and something you’ll wear all Fall and Winter long.
And to give the outfit even more edge, I added a big statement necklace. This statement necklace is just so cool. I’ve had it for quite a while now and have blogged about it multiple times.
Hope you guys love this business glam look as much as I do!

I love this look!
Lovely outfit!
Thanks Ellen!
looks fab! but… curious if the suit leaves lines if you’re wearing it with anything fitted on the bottom. i’m a thong girl because i HATE lines. i have bigger hips and a booty so i worry the lines will cut too much. have you had any trouble with this? or anyone with bodysuits in general? i haven’t worn one since the mid 90s when i was a teen! haha
This bodysuit is a thong π

Unfortunately these cute looks don’t work for my daughter’s corporate world look, Very little stylish suiting available for exaective women!maks4@
Yes, that was what I was thinking! Maybe suitable for LA business/entertainment, but pretty inappropriate for corporate world! Ali, please post if you stumble on any more conservative, business looks! Really like your taste…and you look fab!
