Shoes Shoes Shoes! How the Heck Do I Wear Heels Pregnant?!

Today’s post is all about shoes!!! So many of you have asked me over the past couple months how I’m still wearing heels while pregnant. Well, I’ll get to that in a minute, but basically I have three main pairs of shoes that I’m wearing right now – you’ve seen me wearing them in almost all my posts this month. I got them all from Shoes.com. So if you guys want to try any of these shoes, it’s easy because you can get them all in one place!

Here are my faves right now…

1 – Flat sandals that I wear almost every day now that the weather is so nice in Southern California.

2 – A super comfortable low heel.

3 – What I like to call my rockstar mom high-heels! Ha!

Ok Let’s talk about these sandals first. Every Spring/Summer I think it’s important to get yourself one great pair of neutral sandals that you can wear all season long. And I’m not talking about flip-flops. Flip-flops are for the beach and the beach only! I’m a firm believer of that! So ditch the flip-flops while you’re out and about and get yourself a cute neutral sandal that will go with everything. I really love these sandals for multiple reasons. They’re really comfortable. They give you minimal tan lines – always a plus. They go with pretty much everything. And they have a strap that goes around the back of your heel so they stay put and are pretty comfortable if you need to walk around long distances.

If you’re looking for a really comfortable heel, this is it! These heels are my SECRET to wearing high heels while pregnant. No really! They are amazing! I wear these heels to work all the time because they look like regular height heels when I’m wearing them, but I feel like it’s almost an optical illusion because the heel is actually pretty small and they are ridiculously comfortable. They come in all different colors so really you can get any pair that you need for any occasion. These would also be great shoes to wear to a spring or summer wedding because you wouldn’t feel like you need to take them off after the ceremony like I do every wedding I attend. I’m not even exaggerating when I tell you I wore these heels at 8-months pregnant for an 8-hour workday at Home and Family where I was on my feet almost the whole time! And my feet didn’t even hurt at the end of the day. And that’s the honest truth! You have to try them and let me know what you think!

And finally let’s talk about these super high rockstar heels! OK they’re not that high, but they feel high when you’re really pregnant and I feel like a rockstar mom while wearing them! Normally this is the type of shoe that I would ditch at nine months pregnant but I just love them so much that I’m having a hard time letting them go. And by letting them go I mean putting them in my closet for a month until this pregnancy is over and I can comfortably wear them again. Ha! It’s just such a great neutral heel that will go with absolutely anything you wear this spring and summer. I’ve seen so many other bloggers wearing these heels and I always think they make their legs look great, so I finally got a pair myself and I’m glad I did. When you click on the link to check them out make sure you look at all the different colors. When you first click on the link it makes it look like no sizes are available, but in actuality the color I’m wearing is called Oatmeal Kid Suede and if you click on that color it’s available in every size!

  9. I remember having to wear heels with a specific dress for my husband’s work banquet and having to prop my feet up two nights before just to make the swelling go down in preparation. I was miserable that night! I literally had indentations for a whole day after. 😩

  10. Love all the shoes. And that you rock high heels pregnant!! You had said in another blog post to ask you questions on here rather than DM on Instagram. I had posted three questions, but think it got lost in old posts. Would love some guidance on these questions.
    Here goes my questions.
    What makeup do you use that looks flawless and lasts? I feel like I put my makeup on and it comes off ASAP and also doesn’t cover up great. Second I have a very big chest. And don’t know where to get good bras. Those websites that sound bras don’t have my size which is 40 DDD. I want a bra that lifts, separates and covers the back fat lol. Lastly how do i wear skirts if I don’t want to tuck in my shirt.

    1. You should try Estée Lauder double wear foundation and use a setting spray like NYX or Tarte Rainforest (this one I like because it doesn’t dry out your skin and it keeps your makeup from sliding off—plus it’s more natural than other products out there!) I would also bake your makeup (the oily parts of your face) with a translucent powder. I also use Tarte (Smooth Operator Amazonian clay) for this. Hope this helps! 🙂

  12. My struggle at 35 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child is just getting any shoes on my feet! Slip ons are my best friend right now. These are all cute but I’ll wait until after baby to get new shoes! 🙂

  22. Yes!!! Sam Edelmans are the only heels I buy anymore because they’re so comfy! I’m pregnant too, not wearing heels because I have no reason but if I need to, these are the only ones I would reach for!
