As many of you know, my family and I have been sick with the flu this week. I was going to wait to post this affordable Friday until Friday for two reasons. One, because it’s Friday. And two, because I was hoping we’d be well by then. However, I just checked online and a lot of this stuff is starting to sell out in some sizes. There were even a few items I wrote about for this blog post that I ended up taking off of it because they already sold out completely. So I really didn’t wanna wait one second longer to post this so you guys could order the stuff ASAP before it sells out for good!
I’ve gotten a lot of requests lately to show some holiday party dresses and looks in an affordable Friday post. I honestly looked back at my past Affordable Fridays and I’ve never even done one like this, so I’m super super excited about it. And honestly, I am blown away at how freaking amazing every single option is! You guys can’t go wrong with any of these pieces. I swear by all of them, and I would not say that, unless 100% meant it! Keep reading for my review on each item as well as sizing.
Add Some Sparkle
The holidays are all about sequins! Whether it’s a Christmas party, Hanukkah party, or New Year’s Eve party! You really can’t go wrong with a little sparkle! So I definitely wanted to include some options in this blog post.
Starting, of course, with this adorable mommy and me matching moment! I pretty much squealed out loud when I saw that I could get this purple sequin dress for me and for Molly. I got a size medium, which is my normal size and I definitely have quite a bit of room in it. If you want a more fitted look like the model, I would definitely size down one. But if you want it a little looser get your normal size. The dress is beautiful, well-made, and flattering. I highly recommend you read the reviews on Walmart’s website because one person said they wish I could give it 10 stars instead of five because they love it so much. Seriously at the price point of $45 this is the most beautiful quality!

I ordered two sizes of the one for Molly just because I wasn’t sure if she’d be a 4/5 or a size 6. She’s normally a size 6, but I just really wanted to make sure that this fit her very good rather than being a little oversized. Normally I am fine getting her a 6, but everything is just slightly big, which I’m fine with because she grows into it over time. But for a holiday dress, you really want it to fit good in the moment. The size 6 was great though. A little bit of room in it but perfect. So definitely get your child’s normal size.
The sequin dress also comes in green if you want something with more holiday colors. The last thing I wanna say is that Molly felt like an absolute star when she wore this! It was so cute to see how excited she was to match with me, but also just to have a dress, so grown-up looking! She will be wearing this on New Year’s Eve, and she cannot wait! I’m sure she’ll be wearing it a bunch more before that as well. Ha!
Green Velvet
This green velvet dress (comes in 3 other colors too) is gorgeous! I’m wearing a size medium, which is my normal size and I definitely have some room in it. But it fits and drapes perfectly so I would not size down in it even though I have room. So I definitely say stick to your normal size with this. The velvet is gorgeous, it feels super expensive, and you’re only gonna pay $32 for it! This is my first time buying from the brand the get on Walmart’s website and I am so so so happy I discovered it! Their clothes are gorgeous. They’re size inclusive coming in sizes extra small up to three XL. And the quality is amazing! Oh, and can’t forget to say that the stress has pockets, which is a major major plus!
Sexy Little Black Sparkly Dress
Next in the sequin department, is this super sexy, gorgeous sequins dress! I can’t even tell you how many fitted sequin dresses I have tried in my life, and how many I’ve absolutely hated because they were so unflattering! But oh my gosh, not this one. I feel like 1 million bucks wearing it and I really think you will too! I love love love how the fabric drapes around the bust area. It screams expensive when it’s only $38! I am wearing a size medium, which is my normal size and there’s even a little bit of room in it for me. So definitely get your normal size and if you’re in between sizes, you might even want to size down.
Sequin Cami and Top
I wanted to share this look too, because I bought it thinking I would wear it together. The sequin skirt with a sequin top. However, this material is a little on the thicker side, which is perfect for the skirt because it makes it flattering. I feel like a thin sequin skirt is always unflattering around the midsection. However, pairing it with the thicker top is just too much. So I decided to split them up and it made me love the pieces so much!

I paired the skirt with a flowy black cami, and I feel amazing in it! I’m wearing my normal size medium and like I said the thicker material just makes this flattering for a sequins skirt. It’s very very very hard to put the word, flattering and sequin skirt in the same sentence, but this one works.

Faux Leather MUST-HAVE!!!!
Out of all of the options in this post, honestly this full leather dress was one that I thought I was gonna like the very least. In fact, when I ordered it, I almost didn’t even try it on because I was so sure I wasn’t gonna like it. And honestly, it ended up being one of my absolute favorite dresses! I’m so so so glad I got it! It’s hard for me to even really describe but I think it looks so so so chic and so so so expensive! I kid you not after I put it on I ran to my computer to check the price because I thought for sure this must’ve been on the expensive side even though I got it from Walmart just because the quality is so incredible. But nope! I got this dress for just $39! It’s already starting to get low in stock so definitely snag it quickly! Honestly, it looks 10 times better in real life than it does online. I think my favorite part about it is how the material gathers on the skirt in one corner.
Pink Plaid Shacket
I wanted to show you guys this pink plaid jacket, both on and around the waist. Because I constantly find myself cold outside and hot indoors so I really like to be able to have layers. But I also wanted to show you guys the top from my loungewear set with this shacket. Honestly, I am so obsessed with this as a layering tank because the fit is just so so good. I don’t know what it is but there’s something really sexy about the fit and I never say that about myself in a tank top. EVER! And the fact that it’s under $10 I just feel like you have to get it right away.

I’m also wearing the jeggings for my last Affordable Friday post with this look. If you got them last week then you already know how amazing they are! And if you haven’t gotten them yet snag them while they’re so in stock! I legit could sleep in these they’re so comfortable, and they’re super super super flattering! I sized down to a size 6 when I normally get a size 8 in Walmart jeans, and they fit perfect.

A Few Other Faves of Mine!
Before I go, I have to share a few more things. Starting with this incredible set of loungewear. It’s three separate pieces you can buy one or all three. The tank is under $10 and both the cardigan and the pajama pants are under $20. I love that they come as separates because I ordered my normal size medium in the tank and cami, and then there was flexibility for me to order the pants and in a size large AND a size medium to see what fit best, just because loungewear pants always seem to be a little snug on me because I have a bigger booty and hips. I have to say, the medium actually is the perfect fit! Like I mentioned usually medium bottoms are a tad snug on me, but these are perfect and even a little roomy!

I got both the tan color and the white and I love love love love love them! I was planning on returning one of them but honestly I just love them so much that I couldn’t. And they are going fast to order now because chances are your size will sell out ASAP.
