I want to start this blog post by saying I have exciting news to share! Kevin and I officially sold our house yesterday! That’s right, we closed escrow. It’s definitely a bittersweet moment for us. We’re excited that we sold our house and can move on to something that better suits our family, but we’re sad because this house means so much to us. Anyway, I just wanted to share the good news with you guys since it just happened. I’ll definitely do another blog post soon to share more about the next chapter of our lives and what we have planned! You guys have been such a big part of our lives that we want to fill you in on everything we have going on!

I’m also excited about today’s outfit post! I love all of the outfits that I post here on my blog, but there’s just something extra special about this one! I was actually going to post this pretty floral dress last week when I wore it, but then I went to check the dress online and it was sold out! I was so bummed that I wasn’t gonna get to share with all of you. But something in me today told me to check the dress online again and there it was! Fully in stock! I’m guessing that since it did so well and sold out so quickly the first time they restocked it. And as you as you can see from the reviews on the website other people love the dress too. It’s very flattering, affordable, and easy to throw on. It’s also a dress that can be worn in the Spring, Summer, and Fall! It’s also breastfeeding friendly for those who are curious!

In today’s post I’m wearing it with one of my favorite pairs of boots this season. These boots are just the cutest and go with so many things. You can see me wearing them with jeans HERE and with the cutest sweater dress ever HERE. You guys have probably noticed that I wear them a ton and with a bunch of different kinds of looks. I hope you’re not sick of seeing them because I plan on wearing them all Fall long!

I’ve also been carrying this large satchel a ton recently. Like I said in past blog posts, it’s just really great because it fits absolutely everything I need and still has room leftover! And I love the neutral tone because it goes with everything.

The last piece of this look is my $19 watch. I’m sad to say that this exact watch is sold out. However, a very similar one for the exact same price of $19 is available! I might even like it better than the one I’m wearing in these pics. So I’m sure it’s not surprising to you guys that I went ahead and bought it, so you’ll be seeing it with some of my future looks!

Anyway, I’m at Home and Family today making a DIY baby play/busy board! I teamed up with Paige Hemmis to make it and I think it’s going to come out really cool! You guys can see it on the show tomorrow morning if you tune in. And I’m co-hosting on Friday! That episode will air on Monday so tune in then too! Hope all of you have a wonderful Thursday!

Coffee Talk: Leaving Baby Overnight for the First Time

Monday calls for coffee!!! This is going to be such a long week for me so I’ve really been dreading this Monday for a while now. Mostly because tomorrow is going to be one of my hardest days as a mother yet! I have to fly to New York and leave Molly overnight for the very first time. I’ve never spent a night away from her. In fact, I’ve never not been here in the morning when she wakes up. Every single morning since she was born over one year ago, I’ve greeted that tiny little human when she starts her day and it makes MY day to see the huge smile on her face! And look, I know she’s going to be fine. If anything, I’m way more worried about how I’m going to be than how she’s going to be.

I will say this however, she definitely needs her comforting from her mama. Her daddy is the one she loves to play with and laugh with. But when she feels unsure or scared or falls down she always wants her mama. Especially at nighttime. I put her to bed every single night because she just cries and cries when Kevin tries to do it (Poor thing. Keivn, not Molly. It breaks his heart. He WANTS to put her to bed each night). So he definitely is going to have his hands full when I’m gone. Kevin’s mother has graciously offered to fly out here from Indiana to help out. Just because Kevin has to go to work at 4:30am and we didn’t really feel comfortable asking a friend or nanny to come over at 4 AM to watch her. So yes, you might think we’re totally crazy for having Kevin’s mother fly out but hey, it makes us feel comfortable! And it’s what works for us. And I’m sure this won’t happen every time I have to leave or Kevin has to leave overnight but this first time is a big deal and quite frankly, I’m a little bit crazy. Ha!

Anyway, like I was saying above, I’m way more worried about how I’m gonna feel than I am about how Molly is going to feel. Any advice from other mamas out there? Should I just drink a ton of wine the whole time I’m gone? Ha! Don’t get me wrong, I will definitely be trying my best to enjoy my me time while away. I basically leave for NYC first thing tomorrow morning and get into the city around 8 PM or so. Then I wake up bright and early the next day for a project I’m working on. And then after a full day of work, fly out that night. It’s going to be a crazy trip but I just couldn’t bear the thought of being away from her more than one night. But even though I’m only away for one night, she’ll be going to bed without me for two nights. Obviously tomorrow night because I’ll be sleeping in New York City. But the following night as well because I won’t get back into Los Angeles until around midnight. So I totally hate that I’m missing two bed times! But at least she’ll only have to wake up without me one morning. And I’ll be here Thursday morning to snuggle her up as soon as she opens her eyes!

So anyway, my point in writing this blog post is two reasons. One – I really want to get advice from all of you! What did you do when you had to leave your little one for the first time? Did you just have to suck it up and do it? Any special things you did that maybe I’m not thinking about?

And then of course I’m also going to share my outfit details because my pics in this blog post show me wearing one of my favorite tops! I mean, how beautiful is this floral top I’m wearing? I bought it when I was shopping the Nordstrom Sale the other day. But don’t worry if you’re not a Nordstrom card holder and can’t access the sale yet! This top isn’t even part of the sale, but it’s still super affordable so it might as well be a sale price. The top is only $39! It’s so pretty and perfect for summer.

I paired it with my favorite high waisted jeans that are super flattering and right now they’re on sale for buy one get the second pair for $20. So it’s definitely a good time to stock up on jeans for fall.

And oh my gosh! I’ve been meaning to write about these sunglasses forever! Every time I’m wearing them in one of my Instagram Story videos, multiple people ask me where I got them. And I’m sure many of them assume they’re expensive because I think they look expensive! But they’re totally not. They’re only $12!

Ok I just realized this blog post is getting kind of long so I’ll end it here but the rest of the details on my look are below the pictures.

Mixed Prints

Hey guys! Happy Friday! Kevin, Molly and I are actually in Williamstown, Massachusetts for the weekend. It’s my niece Blake’s first birthday and we are here celebrating! It’s pretty cool because my sister’s daughter (a.k.a. my niece) was born just 10 days before Molly. So really we’re celebrating both of their first birthdays. Anyway, I don’t want to neglect my blog the whole time I’m on vacation so I wanted to make sure to get this post up!

I actually posted this floral dress a couple days ago with my Bachelorette blog. It’s simple but flattering and under $50! In today’s post I’m wearing it with a super fab, long white coat and a black and white striped purse. I’m wearing a size medium in the dress FYI (Medium is my normal size).

First let me talk about this killer purse. I always love when I see people wearing mixed prints, but I feel like wearing mixed prints is kind of hard to do. There is a fine line between looking super cool and just looking like you’re mismatched. I think a really safe way to do mixed prints is how I did them in today’s blog post. So instead of wearing a floral top and striped pants, which could come off as mismatched, I instead just made my purse a different print so it’s more subtle but still makes a big statement! So if you get this purse, you could pair it with any floral dress you have for the same effect. Both my purse and my pumps are from Sole Society. So you can get them both from the same place.

I talked about these shoes when I posted about this dress. But I have to just say again that they are my absolute favorite heels right now! I absolutely love the detail on them, and on top of them being really cute, they are also super comfortable. I feel like they are a great shoe to wear to summer weddings this wedding season. The closed toe makes them classy for a summer wedding and the block heel will keep you from sinking into the grass at any outdoor event. Seriously they are the PERFECT pump!

And finally I wore this absolutely fabulous white trench coat! This coat is definitely an investment piece but it is such a statement! It’s one of those pieces that everyone asks me about when I wear it. I almost got a size small based on the reviews, but in the end I decided to go with my normal size which is a medium. It fits great but I think I could’ve sized down and been OK too. And it’s long FYI! I’m 5’7″ and it just touches the ground in heels. You might need to get it hemmed if you are more petite.
