Walmart does pay employees above minimum wage and has great benefits like insurance and retirement. While it is not a high paying job, it has been a blessing to college aged kids like my grands and to several older friends who were living on a fixed income to supplement their social security or retirement. True enough that my husband had much better income but he does have two college degrees and a master’s. Everyone is not as blessed.
