Living in Maxi Dresses

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend and a lovely Father’s Day! I would love to say that I totally spoiled Kevin yesterday, but honestly we didn’t do anything special. On Saturday we went to an event for Dads that was really nice. It felt good to get out of the house for a little bit with the kiddos. But on Sunday we really didn’t do much. Normally I would’ve planned something special for him, but needless to say, we have our hands full at the moment and I didn’t really have time to plan anything. I guess at the end of the day, I gave him a son for Father’s Day. Ha!

1. EARRINGS | 2. MAXI DRESS

Anyway, I wanted to start this week off with a blog post and I’ve been dying to share this maxi dress with you guys! It’s one of my favorite dresses right now. Actually, I’ve kind of been living in either yoga pants/nursing tanks and/or maxi dresses ever since I gave birth. When I’m just lounging at home I am pretty much in nursing tanks 24/7. But when we go out to events or if I just want to feel somewhat put together, I’ll throw on a maxi dress. I blogged about this striped one the other day that I absolutely love. And today I wanted to share this floral one with you guys. This won’t be the last time you see this floral maxi dress on my blog because I wore it during the photos we took of the home tour that I’m going to be sharing with you guys soon. So you’ll see even more of the dress in the future! I just love it so much that I had to wear it during my home tour, because the colors pop so beautifully in pictures. I’m wearing a size 6. I was a size 4 in this brand pre-pregnancy, but now I’m in a size 6.

I paired it with white tassel earrings and didn’t wear any shoes. It’s the kind of dress that you could dress up with heels, wear with sandals, or just go barefoot! It’s super versatile!

Also, I’m excited to watch the Bachelorette with all of you tonight! I’ll have my thoughts on the episode up on the blog tomorrow. I’ll try to share some of my thoughts on Instagram story as well tonight so make sure you’re following me HERE. Until tomorrow!

  1. You look so beautiful and that color compliments your skin tone so well! I can’t wait to read your thoughts on the Bachelorette (:

  2. Wow. You lost weight very quickly. My baby is 2 and I still have 16 lbs to go.
Can you please blog “ what I eat” every day with how to make that food. That be great.

    Love the dress!

  3. I love that color and that dress! You’re looking great! I still have about 15-20 lbs to lose two years post baby. LOL It’s hard when you hate exercise…

  4. Happy you had a great Father’s Day weekend! I feel the same way having a 4 week old too… it’s definitely the best gift we could have given them and I think they’d agree!

Absolutely love the dress! You look gorgeous!

  5. Hi Ali
Your flowers are gorgeous (and so is your hair style & maxi dress)
hope you enjoyed the wine/visit at the restaurant with your girlfriends. 🙂

  6. I’d say a son is a pretty darn good present! You won’t be able to top that one, haha! I actually had my first baby the Wednesday before Mother’s Day and my third baby the Wednesday before Father’s Day. This year my daughter’s bday actually fell on Father’s Day. Two of mine are in their 40’s and my youngest in her 30’s. Your two little ones are so very precious! Always love the photos!

  7. Hey Ali my blog friend,
First of all you look great! I hope all is well and your finally getting into a routine. Miss hearing from you and reading your post, but understand completely.

I’m sure Smiley Riley has been changing more and more each day and hoping that you’ve gotten time to spend one on one time with Jolly Molly!
Keep up with good spirits and enjoy each day with your little ones and I look forward for the next time to leave a comment.

Remember one day at a time. 😉

🤗😘 to you, Smiley Riley, Jolly Molly, Kevin and Fuzzy Owen! 🐕

  8. I love your blog but I really wish on your instagram and even blog you wouldn’t post staged photos and more natural. I love reading your stories but then your photos look to staged and not actually what happens in life. I get it for fashion blogs but when it comes to family I like honest photos not pretty photos

  9. Congrats! I hear that it’s a known fact that we lose memory cells after birth probably just got that reason! To forget the pain! I love birth stories and find it interesting that a 2nd epi had to be put in. I remember for my epi that it stayed in and as it wore off, more was added. My kids are now 16 years and 13 years so maybe the epi process is different. Your baby boy is here and healthy. So happy for you! Enjoy this time because it flies by!
