Choosing to LOVE the Last Weeks/Days of my Pregnancy

Today is my last day of work before I go on maternity leave. It also just happens to be the day I am exactly 37 weeks pregnant. I always thought that I would work right up until I gave birth. But as many of you know, this baby is measuring a few weeks ahead. At this point he’s measuring 41 weeks! And I definitely feel like I’ve been overdoing it the last few weeks. I decided that today would be the last day I would go to work at Home & Family because I really want to focus the few weeks or even days that I have left with my family of three. And Owen too of course, but you know what I mean.

And after some of these long mornings with Molly, followed by an even longer day of work, I’m just in a lot of pain. The other day I was lying on the couch thinking about how much I wished this baby would come so I wasn’t pregnant anymore. And while I was thinking that, it dawned on me that this is my last pregnancy. I know I’m uncomfortable (sometimes it feels like my belly is going to hit the floor is hanging so low), I know the pain is getting worse day by day, I know I can’t sleep at night (although I won’t be sleeping any better once the baby arrives) and I know pregnancy is HARD. Really hard at times.

But at the same time, this is the last time I’m going to experience pregnancy. Well, I guess you should never say never. But as of now, we don’t plan to have any more children. And I know that having the ability to carry a child is a blessing. I think about the alternative of not being able to get pregnant and think about how heartbreaking that would be and how so many women across the world feel that heartbreak because they can’t get pregnant. And look, I wholeheartedly believe that pregnant women have every right in the world to complain about how hard pregnancy is. Because it is hard! And I honestly can’t promise you that after reading today’s blog post I won’t still complain waiting for this baby to come. Because I know I will.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m making a vow to myself today to do everything I can to try and soak up and enjoy these last moments of pregnancy. So this morning I’m putting on a cute dress, even cuter sunnies and flat shoes (so I can be more comfortable) and choosing I’m to wear a smile on my face all day long!

And for those wondering my sunglasses are by DIFF Eyewear. You guys know I own quite a few pairs of their sunglasses. I just love that every time a pair of their sunglasses are purchased they donate a pair of reading glasses to someone in need. So every time I buy a pair, I feel good about it! The ones I’m wearing in today’s post I thought looked super chic in gold/brown lenses, but they also come with purple lenses that are really fun! And I just checked and my discount code ALIF still works for 25% off! Check out the other DIFF sunglasses I own here (the cutest mommy and me matching! Molly and I and I are actually wearing these sunnies on Home & Family today for our mommy and me fashion segment) and here. And also, my maternity dress is the most comfy EVER. I legit slept in it one night after wearing it because I was so tired and it was so soft. Ha! My exact color is sold out but it come sin two other colors here.

Anyway, I want to end this blog post by inviting all of you to share your favorite parts of pregnancy. Was it taking your first positive pregnancy test, was it feeling your baby kick for the very first time, or maybe it was your water breaking and the moment you realized you were moments away from meeting a person who is going to absolutely change your life! I just listed these 3 because they have been my favorites for my two pregnancies.

And I want to a knowledge anyone reading this who is struggling with fertility issues. Know that I am thinking of you and can only imagine your pain. Hugs!

  1. Hi Ali!
I think I am just a day behind you! I’m 37 weeks tomorrow and I feel the same way. Tired and ready to be done. I’m a first time mom, so anxiety is creeping in as well. I also find myself trying to remember to soak up these last few weeks (or days) of pregnancy. I think my very favorite is feeling him move in my belly. Such a surreal and amazing feeling. I have loved following along with you this pregnancy! Enjoy your last day of work!

    1. Ha! I just realized that today is Tuesday not Wednesday. I am 37 weeks tomorrow too! Same as you! Pregnancy brain.

Excited for us both! Our babies will be here any day now!

      1. Also 37 weeks tomorrow! But hoping mine comes sooner than May 30! Love how you are so positive because I am about over the pregnancy!!!

        1. I’m 35 weeks tomorrow with my first and I’m being induced at 37 weeks due to pregnancy induced hypertension. It’s crazy to think I only have two weeks left before I become a mom, but I’m going to soak up every last second of this pregnancy!

      2. Ah! 35+ wks here too! But a littler different situation- this is my 5th baby and FIRST girl! I’m also measuring 2-3wks ahead- I get it! Everything hurts! Hang in their mamas! We are almost there!
Ali, I’ve followed you since your Bachelorette run. I was only a mom of 1 then! Always enjoy checking in on your blog.

  2. You’re so cute Ali! Love your positivity 🙂 What is the lip color you’re wearing? Enjoy your last few days/weeks of your pregnancy!

  3. I am 29 weeks with my first and my favorite part has been feeling her kick and move! It is really the COOLEST feeling! I love it!

  4. I was blessed with a super smooth pregnancy (physically..mentally things were rough) and only gained 10 pounds (all belly!) I think one of my favorite things about being pregnant was imagining what my baby boy would look like. I know I was also very curious about labor because people love to tell their horror stories! Anyways, my sweet Theo is 8 weeks old and more perfect than I could’ve hoped. I delivered him 2 weeks early so my plan of having time off before he came was just a dream! Enjoy your time before welcoming him into the world!

    1. Only 10 pounds?!?! Wow! I am up 40 lbs right now.

It is so crazy and cool to think about what he will look like. I honestly have been so busy that I haven’t thought about it much. But with Molly I thought about it ALL the time!

And my time off is really being at home with Molly which is honestly harder than going to work! So I might have some friend come by to help out 😉 I always say that going to work is like a vacation! ha!

  5. my absolute favorite part of my pregnancy, was when I’d settle down for the evening, whenever I rolled over into the most comfortable position, I’d feel him move to where his little booty was on the bed…he’d always roll over to get comfortable and then lean up against me. Now he’s 3 and still loves to cuddle against me! 🙂
I hope you’re enjoying these last few moments, but I know you’re SO excited to meet little man!

    1. Awwwww I love this story. I feel like I am not as in tune with him or my body. Ha! I never know where he head is and where his butt is 😉 Although I do know he is head down right now. But that’s because of my ultrasounds 🙂

  6. Hi Ali! My favorite part by far was when my husband got to feel the baby kick for the first time. It was Christmas Day. We dealt with infertility so this whole pregnancy is such a blessing but that moment really stands out to me. Now we are just waiting to meet our little guy!

    1. Love this! A Christmas miracle! SO beautiful! With Molly Kevin and I felt the first kicks at the same time which was crazy. I felt it and then grabbed his hand to touch my belly and then he felt it. So weird that I didn’t feel smaller kicks before that, but I just didn’t. But with this baby, I felt them long before they where strong enough for Kevin to feel. But its so beautiful when the daddy feels the kicks for the first time!

  7. Hi Ali
    You’re doing great, my friend!
Keep wearing your pretty smile…yours is contanious. 😊
    xo

  8. Hi Ali!!! Not pregnant, not married, but I still LOVE reading your blogs! You have such a great outlook on life and are so vibrant! And I literally love love love your videos of Molly. She is seriously a DOLL!!!!

    1. Thank you for reading Tori! Molly brings me so much joy that I can’t help but share her cuteness with everyone!

  9. I loved when the second trimester hit, I felt great, and felt the baby move! I loved second trimester, because I felt the best! I never minded pregnancy until my third when I felt huge, I was pregnant all summer, it was HOT no matter what i did, and I retained fluid. My first two were not like that at all. I literally felt like the mom and daughter on Father of the Bride, and I know my husband felt like Steve Martin wearing winter jackets! Take care, try and enjoy those last days with your sweet family of three! Being a mom and having a wonderful family is a GIFT! 💕💕

    1. It’s funny I always say that you don’t realize how good you have it in the 2nd trimester until you hit the 3rd trimester. Ha! This pregnancy has been hard on me because of having excess fluid and because he’s so big. But I am still going to enjoy the end of it!!!

      1. I delivered a 9 pound 5 ounce, 24 inches long boy! Crazy how out bodies can do that! Take care, and I’ll be thinking and praying for a super smooth, blessed birth! 💛

  10. I love this post and it warms my heart to hear the things you love about being pregnant. I now have a 2 year old, but one of my favorite parts of being pregnant with her was when she would have hiccups. The feeling made me laugh and i loved being able to see the movement in my belly. I ended up having an emergency hysterectomy after that pregnancy and when it happened I wished that I would have enjoyed my pregnancy more. Being 23 at the time, I didn’t realize it would be my last. So I really love that you’re choosing to enjoy these last moments, even though pregnancy can be tough. Such a special time.

  11. Hi Ali from The Berkshires! I love reading your blog and feel like I know you being from the same area! (I’m in southern Berkshire county MA). I’m currently 17 weeks pregnant with my second baby and am busy running around after my 20 month old son. I had my son unexpectedly at 37 weeks so I wish I would have been able to enjoy the end as much as possible. My favorite part of pregnancy and seeing the belly grow and those first little flutter kicks that let you know he/she is in there and doing well. Best of luck to you!

  12. Hi Ali! I have loved following you on your journey with this pregnancy. My little girl is just a few days younger than Molly, and I actually would have had my second right along with you and Catherine again but I had a miscarriage. I am so happy for your beautiful family and I hope you soak up these last moments as a family of 4 (yes, I’m counting Owen!).

  13. I 38 weeks today, this is my first pregnancy and I have to say I have been so blessed for the beginning, very little morniglng sickness and have had a great pregnancy, I have not experianced any aches, pains, swelling nothing, I feel for the women that feel miserable as I have been blessed to not feel that way, my favorite parta so far were finding out and feeling the baby move, I am kind of sad that the end is near as I have enjoyed it so much but looking forward to the next step as we get closer to babiea arrival.

  14. Hi! I’m 30 weeks pregnant first time and our little one given me so much joy! There is so much to learn about the body and the miraculous ness of how pregnancy is its own. I miscarried the month before I got pregnant with our little one now. So when I saw the two pink lines I was in denial since I had seen that weeks prior.. our little one is SUPER active everyone including me thought she was a boy for her hanging low position and activity but she gets all that energy from me. I love her kicks and turns and how her daddy will play “knock knock” and she will respond back. It is one of a kind.
I have had to be bed rested twice and pain is on the up and up but I believe God is prepping my body in every through the pain so I will be ready in just a short amount of weeks! But having a more “relaxed” pregnancy in a sense is allowing me to know who I am as a Mom-to-be and that this will be the last time ever to rest before she comes. Hoping she comes soon since she is measuring big also so crossing my fingers!

  15. Hi Ali, what a beautiful post :). I left on maternity leave 4 weeks early to spend quality time with my 2 year old before baby number 2. Don’t regret it at all, and you won’t either
Your daughter will luv the extra time with you!

  16. I’m only 22 and I’m not married & don’t have any children but I still love following your blog and reading your posts! 💗 You have such a sweet outlook on life and you seem like an amazing mother. I hope I am like you as a mom someday! I will probably come back and reference some of these posts 🙂 Thanks for being such an inspiration!

  17. 30 weeks tomorrow with my 2nd baby boy so just a few weeks behind you! I LOVE hearing the heart beat every time we go to the doctor! It is the sweetest sound!
Praying for a healthy and enjoyable end to your pregnancy! Love you blog ❤️

  18. I know how much you just want the baby out already… Those last days are so hard! I hope you can take some time to relax/do some self care b/c once baby is born, it’s gonna be crazy haha! Can’t wait!

  19. Everything to me was wonderful (even not sleeping at the end) I got diagnosed with the polycystic ovarian syndrome and the Dr. told me I had to get down to 120 pounds “to have a fighting chance” Ha! but God is great, the next week after seeing the Dr. one of my co-workers kept telling me to take a pregnancy test because she thought that I was pregnant (I had not gotten my period) but as a first-time mom, you really don’t know the difference between PMS and pregnancy! Anyway long story short I took a test and I was pregnant, the Dr. was shocked but took really good care of me. I’ve never felt more beautiful in my life, my hair, my huge, huge belly! I loved showing my belly off! I got so many compliments at work all the time! Enjoy the last weeks of pregnancy the go so fast! I miss being pregnant!

  20. Congrats Ali! I delivered my sweet baby girl 6 weeks ago. My favorite moment pregnant was the first time my husband felt her kick. The excitement in his eyes and reaction made me melt. Enjoy these last moments as a family of 3! ❤️

  21. You look so cute! I was that pregnant a year ago and now my baby is almost one! Time flies! I was totally over it at the end too. You’re allowed to complain. 😉

  22. I’m 14 weeks with my second and I already feel (and look) SO much bigger than the first time around! I just feel heavy and tired already. Maybe because I’m chasing a toddler this time around and can’t rest as much (not maybe, more like definitely) 😂 I loved feeling my daughter move around and I can’t wait to feel this one too! Also can’t wait to find out what we’re having, should know in a few days! Hang in there, a year from now you’ll look back at these pics and miss it!

  23. Hi Ali!

You look so great, congrats on baby boy!! I am in my 2nd trimester with my 2nd baby & I am feeling great! I am soaking it in because I know how hard it’ll get when I’m in my 3rd trimester. I carry big babies (my 1st was 9.15) so the last months with him were very difficult, and being in the south Texas summer heat made it so much harder!! So I am loving life right now & enjoying all these little kicks & movements! Excited for my husband & son to feel him soon!

  24. Good luck in your final days! I am currently on maternity leave with my 7 week old son watching home and family everyday. I know how hard it is to be pregnant with a little one/toddler. My boys are 18 months apart. Towards the end of my pregnancy I could barely lift my 18 month old or bend down and play with him. Its hard physically but you’re almost there!! My 19 month old is so sweet and gentle with his little bro (I was worried). I’m sure Molly will be so sweet and a great big sis! Rest up!

  25. We also decided to have 2 children. Girls now 8 & 16.
I loved being pregnant. A favorite was wearing bikini 👙 and letting the belly hang out!

  26. I am 40 weeks and 5 days overdue! My first was 12 days overdue, so hoping this little one doesn’t camp out quite that long. We’ve been enjoying our last moments of being a family of three, but are more than ready and excited to welcome another little lady to our family (my poor husband is very outnumbered!!)

  27. I loved watching my stomach move—and how friendly people and strangers were to me. Of course now that I’m a mom no one even notices me when I’m without the baby. It’s such a special time, I always felt like I was in on a secret between me and my daughter. The first few days after having her, I always wanted to just put her back in, even though I carried her 8 days past my due date. Three months later and I still sort of want to 🙂

  28. Hi Ali! I am halfway through my second and most likely last pregnancy and already feeling the same way! Pregnancy is NOT easy on my body. I have also been trying to be more positive this pregnancy and soak it up as much as I can! My favorite moments in pregnancy are getting that positive test (and telling my husband!), finding out the gender, decorating the baby’s room, feeling all the crazy kicks and hiccups, showing off my belly (since we all know you don’t feel like showing it off after baby haha!), all the kind comments and treatment from everyone (even strangers), and for this pregnancy seeing my daughter love on her baby sister in my belly! Enjoy these last few days or weeks! I actually really enjoyed the last week of my first pregnancy. I pampered myself, went on lots of dates with my husband, and loved that last bit of anticipation before meeting baby and the craziness began haha!

  29. Yes try to enjoy it as much as possible. To this day 12 years after my youngest was born I still say I miss being pregnant. I felt beautiful and strong for creating another life. I miss feeling the baby move. I don’t even remember the bad times. I also REALLY miss snuggling a new born. So take it all in. Best of luck to you and the expanded family….

  30. Hi Ali,

I am 37 weeks today. This pregnancy was a new experience for me since with my first I never made it this far (my first son was born at 23 weeks- he’ll be 2 in July) I am so ready for this pregnancy to be over but I’m grateful that I get to feel those hard jabs and kicks. Having a newborn at home will definitely be a new adjustment for us especially since my son spent the first 3 months of his life in the NICU… well I hope you have an easy delivery! Btw… Molly is the cutest 😊

  31. I also didn’t enjoy pregnancy, and with both of my experiences, my favorite part was the day I decided to change the narrative and be positive. I complained a lot and didn’t always seem grateful for the blessing I was carrying. Each time I reached my due date, I got very depressed that the baby was still inside me! But I made a mental 180 and chose to be nothing but positive until the baby was born and then my life and everyone’s around me got infinitely more beautiful! You’re soooo close!

  32. Hi Ali

I just love your attitude about things right now bc every mom knows that the last month is the hardest to stay positive. You are the biggest and most uncomfortable at that point and I also tried at that point to stay positive. I only have one daughter and but I know how you feel about wanting to soak up the time you have with the way things are right now. Good luck with the next few weeks or days and god bless you and your growing family.

    1. Also forgot to tell you one of my favorite things was hearing the first heart beat and seeing the first ultra sound.

  33. Enjoy those last days or weeks. I had the same thoughts with my second boy, and even though I was had morning sickness for a trimester and sciatic nerve pain the last trimester, and I was huge with him…I was sad about it being my last pregnancy too. After I delivered both boys I would catch myself feeling my belly because I was so used to their constant kicking and rolling, and really missed that feeling they were with me. However now, they are with me just in larger louder versions, lol.

  34. Hey Ali,

My daughter is 16 months old and my favorite memory of being pregnant is when her dad playfully pushed my stomach and she kicked back. They started having such a beautiful relationship then and it was my favorite. I love watching them together just how I can see how much you love watching Kevin and Molly. I can’t wait to see pics of your little guy and who he looks like.

    Jennifer

PS. I have a question(if you have time). Molly wears this outfit that’s turquoise outfit with elephants on it. I would love to know where you got it. Thank you so much

  35. I only had one pregnancy and was so scared about raising a child that I didn’t get to enjoy these moments. I wish I could go back. Feeling the baby move and dig into my ribs was most memorable though, lol. Here’s to a speedy, easy delivery!

  36. 37 weeks today with my 2nd! I know exactly how you feel – definitely a blessing to be pregnant even if these last couple days or weeks are uncomfortable. I’m lucky and have flexible hours as a per diem nurse – sticking to a couple 4 hour shifts before our baby girl comes!

  37. Congrats again! You look so cute with your baby bump! My favorite part of pregnancy was the ‘unknown,’ almost dream-like state of it! You spend 9 months planning and researching and guessing what things will be like…. You try to imagine who this person will be, how delivery will go, what life will be like with a newborn, how the daddy and/or mommy will bond with him/her, etc. Absolutely everything is an ‘unknown’ and I love that! This day in age we pride ourselves in learning and knowing everything… but pregnancy is nature’s way of making us slow down and forces us to accept the unexpected! It’s such a wonderful time to daydream!

  38. With my twins, I was so sick (morning sickness from the beginning until week 24) and then delivered at 34 weeks. It was hard to focus on the good aspects of pregnancy when you feel so bad (bed rest from 5th month on, preterm labor, sciatic pain, heart burn, morning sickness) but what I loved the most was one always had the hiccups in the middle of the night and would wake me up. I also loved the movement. Fighting for space was at a premium, so I could always see a foot or fist run across my belly stretching out.
Enjoy the last few days and good luck!

  39. Ahhhh it was so long ago, my little miracle girl was born 8 weeks early! I had just started maternity leave at Christmas. We went to Nashville, did the family Christmas thing and got back to Dallas, Tx and she was born New Years Eve 1991! My favorite part was finding out it was a girl. My husband and I both wanted to be surprised. Well we were as I had a girl name, but really thought I was gonna have a boy so the name was for the grandparents. So we changed it after seeing her beautiful face! She is 26 now, married a year in November and they bought their first house this October. I’m paitienty waiting for grandkids! My daughter and I have loved you since the batchelor/batchelorette! I’m getting all things baby from you ready for when she finally gives me that grand baby! Congrats to you, Kevin and little Molly! Ps hope you have a name now! Lol

  40. Great blog Ali! Thanks for the reminder we have to be thankful. I’m 11 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and I already look like I did when I was 6 months pregnant with my daughter. With summer coming it’s been hard to feel pretty and confident, but I have to remember how blessed I am to be able to carry a child. Like you we plan to be done after this baby, so I have to be thankful for each day and cherish it all. ❤️

  41. I’m 38 weeks pregnant this week and I am VERY ready to have this baby girl! Every Monday I tell myself the same thing…’enjoy these last few weeks to the fullest and the time with my son who is 5,’ but I have to admit it’s hard. I’m not going to ruin the happy vibe with the issues I have faced (daily injections, pain, additional meds, appts with specialist, etc), but I will say that it is definitely a blessing no matter the hardship you face to be able to have a baby. I also know the minute they put her in my arms all of the pain, frustrations, depression, anxiety will be gone and that is an AMAZING feeling! For me the most memorable moments were finding out it was a girl bc our entire family is mostly boys so we finally got our little princess 👑 and the first time my son felt her kick and was teary eyed…very special moment. Good luck on the rest of your journey 🙏

  42. I think the best feeling was getting the positive for our first due this August! We were actively trying and it took 3 months (which felt like a long time going through it, although I know there are other people that struggle so I know I am lucky). Congrats to you!!!!! And immediately bought the dress in Navy as it looked so great on you! (It is 60% off right now, couldn’t say no)

  43. You look great! With my son we found out the gender at our 20 week ultrasound, but this time we did a small gender reveal (it’s a girl!) and it was so special. I’m so glad we decided to do that this time around. 31 weeks this week and trying to savor as much time as I can with my little guy. I know he will be such an amazing big brother but this last trimester sure is bittersweet the second time around <3

  44. Girl, you need to treat yourself to an iced coffee and some sunshine (with sun protection of course) ~!!!! 🙂 Enjoy soaking up these last few weeks/days of pregnancy! You look absolutely gorgeous by the way! I would totally wear this outfit and I’m not even pregnant lol! Thank you for what you said about infertility. My Husband and I haven’t been able to get pregnant for years now (and there are more questions than answers) BUT I/we have chosen to just savor these days/years we have as the two of us and truly be grateful and content. I’m not in the dark place I was before, THANKFULLY! I honestly need to have more sympathy, empathy and compassion for those who are struggling. I often forget I was in a similar place. I just know for myself that I couldn’t go the rest of my life living in a darkness about motherhood (wondering if it would happen, etc…). I needed to start LIVING and seeing that I had a purpose even if it wasn’t being a Mom (right now or ever). I do see that I have a purpose + I learned so much more! Life is wonderful with just my Husband and I- and our fur babies (we have one cat right now LOL!) 🙂 If a child comes into our future we’ll be in for quite the adventure but if not, life will still be an adventure! 🙂 Have a beautiful day!!!!!!!!! 🙂

  45. I am 26 weeks pregnant with my first, and have really been enjoying it. I really related to today’s post. Yes, it can be a struggle but it has been the most incredible experience so far. Feeling the baby move, and knowing that the baby is always with me is my favorite. I am trying to enjoy life as just the two of us now, and excited for our lives to become so much richer in just a few months. Thanks for sharing, xo.

  46. Hi Ali!
I’m due May 29th, so I think just a day behind you! I’ve loved following your pregnancy journey! It’s so cool to find people that are going through the same thing and to hear their stories! It’s definitly getting harder as the time nears, and I can relate to everything you’re experiencing! It’s very hard, but I know it will all be worth it once our little ones are here! Good luck to you and I hope you enjoy these last few weeks of pregnancy! You look amazing by the way!! Cutest prego ever!!

  47. 37 weeks pregnant as well! Best feeling was finding out I was pregnant after 7 years of infertility! Good luck to you!!

  48. I’m 30 weeks pregnant and I have a 3yr old little girl:) I love following your journey! I too am trying to focus on staying positive even though it’s hard the 2nd time around. I have varicose veins that are very painful and can’t wear shorts or knee length dresses because I have to wear compression socks. BUT I’m trying to embrace the wonderful things like my one on one time with my daughter. It’s definitely making a conscious effort to enjoy these last weeks!
Best of luck with your last days! I will continue to follow and see your updates🤗

  49. I am 31 weeks with my 2nd pregnancy and I FEEL THE EXACT SAME WAY! This time around my body is having a harder time (sickness, hip pain, etc) but when i get a really good kick from him – it puts my complaining into perspective – I AM GROWING A HUMAN! I too am guilty of “wishing it would be 40 weeks already so i dont have to do this anymore” but the past few weeks I am trying to also appreciate just being pregnant and all the wonderful things that are happening in there! We do not plan on having anymore kids either, so I am mentally exactly where you are right now. Also, if you saw my belly you would think we are twins! We carry exactly the same way – all belly 🙂 Love it. Best of luck to you in the coming days/weeks!

  50. Oh Ali take it from this 62 year old the relationship your about to begin will be TOTALLY different than Molly . As it should be but boys are called mamasboy for a reason . They are cuddly longer and trust me when he has his first real girlfriend and holds her hand your head will hurt. See when Molly has her first Kevin will feel the loss you will just be getting the eye rolls 😂 . Boys they are pure love and I know you will understand exactly what I’m talking about soon . Enjoy these last days not only as 3 but 2 it will be awhile before alone time for you and your sweetheart . For now run that vacuum ( just turn it on) so he gets used to noise now !! 💗

  51. hi Ali
whats the day you are suppose to have your baby boy exactly…you are soooo big but beautiful !
sorry if that comment offended you ! xx
    ren xx

  52. I am 38 weeks tomorrow and thinking the exact same thoughts! I am so anxious to meet this baby, and find out boy or girl, but I actually love being pregnant too! This is our 4th, and probably final and I will definitely miss feeling the kicks and movements the most!

  53. Ali,
You have no idea how much I needed to read this. Thank you for posting! I am 42 years old, I suffer from autoimmune disease and I am 28 weeks pregnant with my second child. My baby is measuring BIG. 98th percentile and my body is so uncomfortable right now. I keep thinking, “How in the heck am I going to make it thru the rest of my pregnancy?!?” Today was an especially difficult day, but then I read your post. I remembered that we tried to get pregnant for a full 2 years and how much it meant when we found out we finally were! I have been focusing all my energy on the negative, but there is soooooo much more positive! AND all the bad stuff is temporary.

Best of luck to you in your delivery!

  54. You are right, don’t ever say never! I thought I was going to have my girl and my boy and be done….but 6 years later, along came baby 3! And then I couldn’t imagine life without her. My kids are all grown with kids/grandkids of their own, but I missed pregnancy. Nothing beats feeling that baby kick inside of you, or the euphoria immediately after birth. I missed a lot of it and was sad knowing it truly was my last time. Enjoy the last few weeks!

  55. Hi Ali!
I’m so sorry you are feeling so miserable! I think Zyrtec is safe for pregnancy especially late term and it works great!!! My son and I both suffer horribly from allergies here in Las Vegas/Henderson. I get everything worst migraines from my sinuses if my allergies back us and my eyes just burn. My doctor had us start taking Zyrtec once a day every day and it helps immensely. I hope you feel better soon!

  56. I just loved feeling the baby move inside me. In fact, I missed that feeling after I delivered. Loved that feeling of pure love the first time I saw and held my baby. The second time was just as exciting as the first.
Ali, you just look beautiful pregnant and you just glow! Wishing you an easy delivery! Molly is the cutest! Can’t wait to see what your little boy looks like.

  57. Ali, you are just beautiful, I had you on one of my flights( I was the FA) and you said you were so big, I just thought to myself, man I wish that’s how I looked when I was pregnant, my butt was has big as my stomach. Lol. I can tell you that pregnancy for me was just amazing, I had two of them as well and although the end is difficult, I felt almost euphoric. Enjoy every minute you can.

  58. I am 32 weeks with my 4th pregnancy and this one has been really rough on my body. Working full time night shifts (I’m a nurse) has not been easy at all. Thank you for the reminder to view it positively and be thankful for this miracle. My favorite part is feeling the baby move and kick.

  59. Ali you look absolutely amazing! I had my second little guy on March 27th at 39 weeks and 2 days. I was scheduled for a 2pm c-section because he was breech but my water broke at 7:30am that day! The best laid plans… My first born son was born at 27 weeks and it was terrifying. He only weighed 2lb 6oz. Missing those last 13 weeks of pregnancy was the most horrible thing I’ve ever been through. Although I complained about the discomfort every day leading up to the birth of my second son, I wouldn’t trade it for the world! He was a nice, plump 9lb baby! Enjoy these last days and the amazing thing your body is doing and relish in your nice, plump baby boy when he comes! Wishing you an easy delivery and recovery!! 💙💙💙

  60. Let me preface this by saying I was one of those lucky moms who had morning sickness HER ENTIRE pregnancy so I definitely don’t miss a lot of it but one of my favorite selfish things about pregnancy was that I could wear anything and not worry about how I looked because hey I looked pregnant! Bring on those body-con dresses I was afraid to wear before (and after)

  61. Hi! First, love your blog! Heartwarming to see your happy family!

Fast question for you: My niece is having their first child. I’m tossing around the idea of getting her 10-15 children books (taken from a list of best books for kids) as a shower present. I know you can’t speak for her, but in your opinion do you think that would work? At what age do parents start to read to their children?

  62. Happy 37th Week!

Hopefully you’ll have plenty of R&R now before baby boy Manno joins your party of four.

I also follow Catherine Lowe — I didn’t realize that Samuel and Molly were born within days of one another. These upcoming babies will be close too!

Sending best wishes for your baby boy Manno 🙂

  63. Ali did you have you’re baby? You’ve been social media silent for almost 24 hours? Sending you good thoughts!!!
