Little Black (Wrap) Dress

Happy Monday Luvs! Gosh I love Mondays! OK OK, not every Monday but I definitely love Mondays during Bachelor season! I mentioned this in my Bachelor blog last week, but I’m just so excited for this season! I think the girls were cast so perfectly and it’s going to be one entertaining season!

I’m so super excited about today’s look because I’m absolutely in love with this dress. I love it because it’s the type of dress that you can dress up with strappy heels and a cute clutch or dress down like I did in these photos with the booties, a cross body bag, and a hat.

I am wearing a size medium (my normal size) and I LOVE that I can still wear this dress with my bump. However, my non-existent waistline means that the place I tie this non-maternity dress is much higher than my natural waistline. But it still works for me! If I could tie the waist in the right spot, I think it would make the dress a little less low cut (since I couldn’t fully wrap it). But as my bump grows I just plan to wear a black cami under the dress. And after the baby comes, this will be a GREAT breastfeeding friendly dress. So I was super pumped when I found it online. I think it’s a great find for those in early pregnancy, breastfeeding, and for those not pregnant at all!

I also wanted to post about this dress today because I was really inspired by the Times Up movement last night during the Golden Globes. So sharing this all black look today is me lending my voice and support to that movement. #WhyWeWearBlack

And  I’ve had this hat for a while now  – probably a little over a year – and I LUV it! You can see me wearing it HERE and HERE too (Oh my gosh, Molly is sooo little in the last post). It’s just so cute and instantly elevates a look. Details on the rest of the look are below the first pic! Let me know what you guys think in the comments below.

  1. Love that dress!! So cute! Are you going to do a gender reveal at any point or wait until Baby is born? 😊

  2. So cute!! Love your style. How tall are you if you don’t mind me asking? I’m 5’9” and 15 weeks pregnant with my bump just starting to pop! I have such trouble finding dresses long enough for me, especially now with my growing bump. Any recommendations for taller ladies, besides a maxi?

I love your blog and following your sweet family! Take care. 🙂

    1. Asos is a great rec! I am 5’7″ and this is starting to get short on me. So if you got it now it would probably be too short ina few weeks with your growing bump. This dress would be cute though—> http://bit.ly/2meUs6H (I have it too and love it!)

      1. Ohhhh I LOVE that! I always forget about the midi length dresses. Thanks for taking the time to respond Ali! I am such a fangirl!

  3. You are the cutest pregnant lady ever! Love this style. How is the weather in la at this time of the year?! How are you feeling?!

    1. The weather was good this morning but rained all afternoon. But over the weekend it was so nice! I wore a dress!!!

  4. Okay so I love your haircut and style and I was trying to screen shot your story today but since it was a video I couldn’t get a good one and I really want to show my hairdresser next week for inspiration! Would you mind posting a pic where you can see your hair down? I just love it and it looks great on you!!

  5. Ali,
Do you know what date the final rose will air for Arie’s season? We are trying to plan a viewing party and can’t find the info anywhere!!!

  6. Yes I would also like to know what the alphabet toy is that Molly was playing with, with the tangible letters? Thanks so much!!
