On the Go Peplum Tank

What day is it today. Thursday? Man my days are all mixed up. I woke up this morning thinking it was Saturday. Wishful thinking right? But even though it’s a bummer that it’s not Saturday today, I’m happy to share that my outfit that I’m sharing today is super cute and based around this $30 peplum tank!

The peplum tank I’m wearing comes in a bunch of different colors. I think it comes in like 10 colors. There are a few that I really like including the one I’m wearing in these pictures. The color is mink FYI and I’m wearing a size 6 US. This type of peplum top is really great for most body types because it’s not form-fitting. When you were a form-fitting peplum top it really accentuates your waist, so if you’re uncomfortable showing off your waist, a fitted peplum top wouldn’t necessarily be the right choice for you. But since this peplum top has a more loose fit it’s really a great option for everyone. I’m wearing a strapless bra with it today but I think it’s really cute and kind of sexy to wear a fun bralette underneath. Also I prefer to wear a high rise jean with this look and in general these days.

One of my favorite things about this entire world is the color palette. I love the muted colors. Muted neutrals always look very chic and expensive to me.

My necklace, crossbody bag, and tassel booties are all from Sole Society! I’m sure you guys aren’t surprised as I get a lot of my accessories from there. They just have such great quality items at affordable prices so I can’t help myself. The crossbody bag has a really cool texture that makes it have a vintage feel.

And the booties will go with all your outfits this summer and fall! I love the tassel detail on the back that is right on trend.

Oh and Molly’s romper is TOO cute for fall and under $30!

Hope you guys have such a great Thursday that it feels like Saturday! Ha!

  1. Love your top!

I know this is off topic and I hope you don’t mind me asking you here, but how did you avoid getting engorged or mastitis when you weaned Molly? My daughter will be 11 months next week and she’s nursing 4-5 times a day right now and I just want to avoid being in any pain or discomfort once she weans. Thank you!

    1. I was making so little by the time I weaned that it wasn’t even an issue for me. Read my blog about weaning!

  2. Hi Ali! On instagram, you were looking for the little girl in your story that looks similar to Molly. That’s my daughter, Halle! I sent you a message on instagram. I’m not sure if you’ve seen it, I bet you get quite a few messages a day. Feel free to reach out to me! NikkiBeals@live.com, or on instagram Nikki_Beals 😀

    1. Oh my gosh so cool! I haven’t check my message yet, super busy right now (getting house ready to move) but I will soon!!! So crazy how much our daughters look alike!

  3. i wish it was Saturday too!

    (a little wine helps—before/during/after) ha
Molly’s romper is adorable…..just like she is 🙂

  4. Love your blog! I adore Molly’s outfit too. Have you ever done a blog featuring your go-to brands for Molly? I have a 10 month old baby girl and would be really interested to read that. Keep up the good work!

    1. I don’t think I have. I’ve down my favorite outfits for her, but not favorite brands. I’m not sure I have a favorite to be honest. Do you?! Do share if you do!

      1. I like practical and budget friendly children’s clothing. I also have a 3 year old son and after my daughter was born, I realized how short an amount of time kids are in a each size. My fave brands are Cat & Jack from Target, Carter’s and Children’s Place.

Any favorite shoe brands for Molly? I think that’s one thing with kiddos that you can’t skimp on.

  5. I’m not sure if you mentioned this before, but what exactly is wrong with your hip?THat must be tough moving with an injured hip. I sure hope you get to feeling better. Cheryl

    1. I’m in so much pain. I pretty much break down in tears daily at this point. I have hip dysplasia and an inflamed SI joint. The SI joint is what is causing me the super sharp pain right now. It’s terrible. I am getting an SI block/injection next Friday that is supposed to help 🙁
