My Tops Beauty Tips! And A Giveaway!

Hi Luvs! You guys are always asking me about my beauty routine and I promised that one day I would do a post about it and today is the day! Ha! So here are my top 10 beauty tips that I swear by!

10 Beauty Tips

Leave Out The Ends! – People always ask me how I curl my hair. It’s so simple and really you only need to remember one thing. Leave out the ends! What I mean by that is, curl you hair like you normally would but leave a little bit of the end of your hair out of the barrel. If you have longer hair, I would leave out 1 inch to 1 1/2 inches. If you have shorter hair like me, leave out a 1/2 inch or slightly more. When you leave out the ends, you get that beachy wave look instead of a curly Sue look 😉

Look Awake! Even When You’re Exhausted! – This makeup trick is so key for all the moms out there reading this. I actually used this makeup trick a ton when I was the Bachelorette. Basically I was SO exhausted all the time going on dates (I know, tough life) so I would put a little highlighter on the inner corners of my eyes and I instantly looked well rested and refreshed! Now that I’m a mom and always tired, I use this makeup tip all the time!

Indulge in Some “Me” Time – It’s hard for me to find any “me” time these days. And when I do find time, it’s usually just minutes instead of hours. Man, I remember how much I used to LUV taking bubble baths. That was before Molly and when I had way more time. I love a good bubble bath because it’s relaxes me and melts away some of the stress from my day. And let’s face it, the more stressed we are, the more is shows all over our face – usually in the form of premature wrinkles. So at the end of the day when Molly is in bed for the night, I take what I call a “stand up bubble bath”. Ha! No really. I use NIVEA Foaming Silk Mousse Body Wash and make the shower such an indulgent experience and only takes minutes instead of hours. This stuff is like whip cream for your skin! It’s a fave of mine.

Face Tattoo? Yup! –  I love that I can now say I have a face tattoo. Ha! It’s always shocking to people when they first here it, but I assure you what I did isn’t as scary as that sounds. I got my eyebrows micro bladed. Have you heard of it? It’s becoming really popular. Basically, it’s a semi-permeant tattoo on your eyebrows that lasts anywhere from 1 year to 3 years defending on  your skin type. It’s magic for your eyebrows! I’m obsessed. Now I don’t feel like I need to put on makeup every morning when I wake up! But caveat! Make sure you do a TON of research before choosing someone to microblade your eyebrows (I went with The Eyebrow Doctor, Piret Aava, FYI). A trusted professional is ESSENTIAL here. And also, let me clarify that I’m not saying everyone should do this. It’s just one beauty thing I’ve done that I love and swear by!

Primer – It’s like a really good snap chat filter for your face! I’m serious. I had never even heard of a primer before I started working in television but now I’m obsessed! It smooths out your skin so you foundation goes on so much better! It really looks like a good beauty filter for you face!

Try a Pink or Coral Blush – Most people think of a darker rouge for blush, but my absolute favorite blush for summer (well really all year round) is a coral or hot pink. It looks SUPER scary (think major 80’s) in the palette, but the bright color is much more subtle on your cheeks. Especially with your glowing summer tan!

Use Sunscreen and Sunless Tanner (if you still want the sun kissed look) – Remember the glowing summer tan I just mentioned? It better be from sunless tanner! I personally love being tan but a real tan is so damaging to your skin!  Yikes, I cringe to think about the days I laid out at my parents’ house covered in baby oil. So bad! Now I just use a good sunless tanner each week and I make sure my family wears sunscreen EVERY day!

Shave in the Tub – I used to shave in the shower but not anymore! Now I will only shave in the tub. It makes  your legs super soft afterwards! I don’t know what it is but something about soaking my legs in the tub while shaving makes them SOOOO smooth! (NIVEASilk Mousse Foaming Body Wash I the tub too!) And I have to say that something about my skin changed after pregnancy and my legs didn’t feel the same after shaving. So I started shaving in the tub and it’s made such a huge difference!

Wash Off Your Makeup and Moisturize! – Have you ever forgotten to wash your make up off at the end of the day? I’ve so been there! Especially when I only have a little bit of make up on. This is such a big mistake! Not only is it so important to completely wash off your make up every night, but it’s also important to use an exfoliator to refresh your skin. Washing your face every night is just as important as brushing your teeth every night! Also, you have to start using a face moisturizer if you aren’t already. I didn’t for a LONG time! You guys might remember an insta story I did a little while back talking about how I was getting so many wrinkles! Well, I start using moisturizer and my wrinkles started going away! I couldn’t believe it! Was it really THAT simple? I think it’s because I caught them early, but I am so mad at myself for not being super regimented about moister for my face WAY earlier in life!

Smile – Last but certainly not least, SMILE! Wearing a smile on your face is your best beauty tool! Not only will you be more approachable to others, but smiling just makes  you feel better on the inside! Sometimes when I’m in a crummy mood, I will force myself to smile and I will INSTANTLY feel better. Really. Try it right now! Try to feel unhappy when smiling. It’s almost impossible! Are you smiling right now? You feel better am I right?! 😉

  1. Hey Ali,

I love reading about your journey and your daughter. My Lilli was born on 12/21/16 and she is amazing. I take “me” time so I can be a better mommy and wife. I have learned that if I don’t then I’m not good to anybody. I am honestly not very good at this. I am learning and trying everyday. Thank you so much for all your words of encouragement!!!!

    Love
    Jennifer and Lilli

      1. Hey Ali, you are truly an inspiration! I love reading your posts! I have a 9 month old that keeps me busy along with a part time job. I would love some “me time” because lately it doesn’t feel like I get that much!

        1. Hey Ali! Your gorgeous I seriously am learning so much parenting from you my baby is 10 months and hasn’t begun to crawl yet. And I know Molly started at 10 months what are some great techniques ??

          1. I need some me time due to my baby not sleeping alot at night because he is teething! He will only lay next to me and not in his crib!

  2. Oh Ali!! I desperately need some me time! I work full-time, my beautiful baby is a freshman in college annnddd I take care of my 87 year old dad. He has dementia and I just couldn’t put him in a nursing home! It’s stressful and hectic, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! However, some me time would definitely help this momma/caretaker out! I love your blog, it always makes me smile!

  3. I’m recovering from surgery and I’m just feeling so blah! I had surgery a week ago on my left hand, it’s been almost impossible to do anything to make myself feel good other than shower and put my contacts in. The anesthesia made me so sick and my stomach has been upset all week! I’m just so ready to feel back to normal, refreshed and myself again. It’s tough to feel yourself as a girl when you can’t really do your hair, makeup or anything else! I’m ready to pamper myself as soon as I’m feeling better, which I hope is soon. I’m such a big fan of yours Ali! I look forward to reading your perspective on things and your family is adorable. ❤️

    1. Ugh. I’m so sorry Brandy. I might have to have surgery on my hip (and I’ve had knee surgery in the past) so I feel your pain! It’s no fun. Get better soon!

      1. Hi Ali! Thank you for sharing your medical diagnosis with us. I twisted my back on Saturday and by Monday I had excruciating hip pain with numbness and buckling of my knee. My appointment yesterday showed similar results, SI joint and possibly herniation. I feel your pain, literally. My health insurance isn’t effective until September so my testing is on hold. I am not able to take pain medication so it’s tough going. Good luck to you and do your research for a spinal specialist for your injection. They do work if done correctly.

  4. I need some me time! I have a 13 month old who just starting throwing tantrums! What the heck. I didn’t think that happened until later on 🙁 and to top it off i am 6 months preggers. I need sleep!

  5. Love all your advice and REAL feedback!

I always make sure to take “me time” because in my fast pass life, in a blink of an eye you can be a year later and never even took a breath. “Me time” makes me take a breath and enjoy life instead of flying by!

Thanks for all you share!! Love you!
    Shanon lersch

    1. I totally get this. Many days I count the minutes until it’s Molly’s bedtime and I need to stop WANTING time to move faster!

  6. Hi Ali!
Who doesn’t need some me time? Am I right? I’m no exception! I work full time, go to school full time and my hubby works out of town 90% of the year! So it’s just me holding down the fort with my 2 fur babies! Love your posts, love u and your family!

  7. Hi Ali,
I need some “me” time because I have 3 young boys who are my everything and who I also do everything for. Taking care of myself is important to be a great mom and wife. Thanks for your awesome posts all the time. 💗😊💗

  8. Hi Ali,

I need me time because I have a hard time either finding the time to relax or getting myself to actually relax when I do have the time. I am working 2 jobs and some me time is always nice and appreciated 🙂

    Luv,
    Eilleen

  9. Ali, you exemplify beauty inside & out girl! Wow, you said to smile 🙂 – I realize that I don’t do that enough! Definitely a beauty tip I seriously need to work on! Been through so much sadness in 2 years (miscarriage/losing a parent/fertility treatments) that I really need to let the “smile” come out more when the littlest things can make me happy. Thanks for sharing your life, beauty tips & secrets! So appreciative and it’s all inspiring. Xo

  10. With a 19 month old little girl I’m on the go constantly! On top of that I teach 2nd grade. My life is busy, but exactly what I’ve always wanted….well maybe a few more minutes to relax would be nice!

  11. Just so you guys know I am commenting to everyone but I’m NOT picking the winner. NIVEA is! Good luck luvs!!!

  12. Love reading your posts, Ali! Thank you for the chance to win! Who doesn’t love body wash? I’m a busy mom of four kiddos. My husband is a hard working man who is home just two days for every ten that he is away for work. My kids are my life and they come before anything or anyone. Needless to say, I wear so many different hats. At the end of the day, I look forward to the time I get to spend alone! As busy moms, it is important that we have that time to ourselves!

    1. Yay Janie!!!! NIVEA just told me that you are one of the winners!!! Woot woot! They will be emailing you shortly (To the email you used to write this comment) to get an address to deliver to!

  13. Hi Ali!! I would love some me time! My daughter turned 1 7/1 and I’m just exhausted. But really it’s not for me. I would love to pamper my mom. She is an amazing mother to me but her level of grandma is out of this world. She loves Brayley so much and does anything for us. She works so hard and loves even harder. She has been battling MS for the past 15 years and amazes me with her strength and grace. I would love to be able to spoil her with some me time.

    Love, Jessie Wise

  14. Hi Ali! I have been such a big fan of yours since your season and I read your blog almost daily. I have such an admiration for you and your family, you guys are so cute! I am currently in nursing school and someday wish to become an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner. With the stress of nursing school, exams, and clinical hours, I find it crucial to take “me time” to pause and reflect on the good things I am doing to make me happy and knowing that someday I will make a difference in my patients’ lives. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on this season of BIP! Thanks for being you, Ali! ps have you ever tried Nivea chapstick?? I’m OBSESSED with it!!!

    Briley

  15. Hi Ali!
I would love to get some me time using Nivea soaking in the tub! I’m training for my first half marathon (I am NOT a runner by nature) and long, hot baths have been a must! On top of my training schedule, I work 2 jobs. So quiet me time is hard to find. Winning would help force me to refocus and make time for myself! 🙂
    -Jessica

  16. Hi Ali! I need some “me time” because I have a stressful job and an anxious mind! Thanks for your post 🙂

  17. Hi Ali,

Like you, my beauty routine starts with taking care of my skin- taking off my makeup, washing my face every night, using a toner/essence (I like Son & Park’s Beauty Water), and moisturizing (I use Shiseido).

Thanks for the tips and hosting this giveaway!

    xxMary

  18. Hi Ali!!
I need some me time so badly! My father passed away last year and I care for my mother full time. It is much like caring for an infant. I agree with you on the sunscreen at all times! I’m 54 and have no wrinkles on my face! I barely wear makeup and I love that I don’t have to. On a pain scale how much did the microblading hurt? I have tattoos but not on my face. Your so sweet and cute…thank you for staying true to who you are! I love love love your style and this blog! Hugs!! Karen ❤

    1. You’re an amazing daughter!

The pain for microblading was similar to tweezing! And it;s fast! Only takes a few mins with someone good!

  19. Hi Ali,

I love your hair especially since it is short and you often wear it back. It looks easy but so cute, much better than just a ponytail. Could you give some step by step instructions sometime?

      1. Meaning leave the ends out when you curl it! I always curl my hair. Even when putting it back! (for texture)

  20. Hi ALLI
Your family is so cute and I love your blog! I am going to try some Nivea products! I am a wife to my husband and I work full time, we are saving our money so we can move and start a family! Me time sounds so nice! A bath with the Nivea Silk Moose sounds amazing!

I am curious what primer you use Alli, I use hourglass Veil and love it but I love to try everyone’s favorites!
    Thanks girlie!
    Rebecca

  21. My friend Andrea deserves some “me time”. Her grandmother was in a horrific accident and she has taken time away from the comforts of her own home, work, and grad school to support her family.

  22. Hi Ali, my daughter Sarah would love a free Sample. She’s beautiful, respectful, hard working and I love her to pieces. I’ve raised a strong women and I couldn’t be prouder. She is going through university for sonogram ultrasound. Cheers from one proud mom to another.

    1. You WON! NIVEA just sent me the 3 winners and you are one of them! They will be emailing you shortly to get an address to send your prize to! Congrats luv!

  23. Ali,
I’m a full time Momma of a 1 year old just like you! But to top it off I have 5 other daughters! Yes, you read that right… 6!!

I’ve been taking care of my mom full time since December when she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Luckily it was caught early & she finished Chemo! Fingers crossed that her scan comes back clean!!

I don’t get any ‘me’ time except maybe once a week in my ‘long shower’ (which is really like 20 min). This would be amazing! My mama would love it too!! 🙂

  24. Ali, I love reading your blog. When I showed my husband your post on sleep training he said I could have written it, it was so similar to our life. My baby girl is now 9 months and life is getting more fun and more tiring by the day! Everyone needs some ‘me’ time!

  25. This is amazing!! As a fellow Mom of a wonderful 13 month old baby girl my schedule is FULL. I work full time running two companies and dedicate ALL of my free time to my daughter and husband. I wouldn’t have it any other way and I am beyond lucky, but mama could use just a few minutes to herself to be pampered! I won’t say I deserve it more than anyone else.m because I think everyone out there deserves some “me” time. However, I will say it would be incredibly appreciated!

    1. You are so right! This isn’t a contest of who deserves it more (winners are random), and EVERYONE deserves some me time! xoxo

  26. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your secrets with us! I absolutely love watching you on home and family tv! As a Mama of two littles two and under And a recent stage three cancer fighter I need all the little extra beauty boosts I can get these days!

    1. Awwww thanks for saying that Erin! I’m going to be on Home & Family regularly now. I love it! Such a fun show with great people 🙂

      And stay strong luv!!!

      1. I’m so excited to hear the news! Congratulations to you!!! I joke with my hubby that my bucket list is to be on a hallmark movie and appear on the home and family show. Maybe once the little stet bigger and I’m healthy I can start on those acting classes. 😊

  27. Before I talk about why I need “me” time, I just want to say thanks for the blog posts! You’re the first blogger I’ve ever followed, and I enjoy watching your Instagram stories and reading your posts.
This summer has been a transition season for me as I left my 4th grade teaching position to pursue opening a small business. The unknowns of running a business can be overwhelming, so I try to take time to light a candle, put on Spotify, and think about happy things. I love how you say you invest in “stand up bubble baths.” I hope to be trying that soon too!
Thank you for the tips! I will definitely be trying the curling technique. I remember you previously mentioning your face tattoo but because I have sensitive skin, I don’t know if I would be able to handle the pain.
Thanks again for the great posts!

  28. Hi, Ali!!

I am also a newlywed and go back to work as a first grade teacher next week! I can’t wait to be a momma, but 24 kids 8 hours a day kind of makes me one…right? Me time makes me better for my kiddos. Thanks for the opportunity!

    Ashleigh

  29. Love your post! I need some “me” time because I’m a busy wife and mama. I’m a stay at home Mama to an 18 month old and a two week old! Life is good but busy!

  30. I’m a new mom to an 8 month old. My husband and I both work full time and we are constantly on the go. I can always use more time to relax. It’s so hard because there’s always something for me to do. I know if I would take time for myself more often it would help me to be a better wife and mom.

    Love your blog!!

  31. Oh man. I desparately need me time, I’m due to have my second baby any day now and am trying to soak up any me time I possibly can before she comes, heaven knows I’ll need it even more after she comes too!!

  32. I am currently working on my MBA and working full time. I am having surgery next week, and I’ve just been really stressed lately. I would love to win this giveaway and some me time. I definitely need it! Thank you for the opportunity!❤️

  33. I don’t have a baby anymore, but I have two daughters. One is 16 and the other is 12. I would love some me time especially with Emma (16 yo) driving now! I’m so ready for school to start back because I know she’ll be home earlier at night! During the summer we allowed her to stay out a tad later (not much!) and I can not sleep until she’s home! I get up early to run so her getting home anytime after 10:00 (she had an 11:00 curfew) left me exhausted the next day! I know I’m old! I use to could stay up way past midnight and still get up early with no issues but not anymore.

So, me time would be so nice!

Love Love Love your blog and your Insta stores! Keep ‘me coming!

    1. I totally hear you. I won’t sleep when Molly is that age and out either!

Thank you so much for your comment and for reading!!!

  34. Hi Ali!

    Love your down-to-earth posts!

Doesn’t every woman need some “me” time?! I’m sure there are many deserving ladies! My husband and I relocated to a new town recently, where we don’t know anyone. Would love to de-stress from “starting all over again!”

    Stephanie

    1. That’s exiting too! But exhausting. We are getting our house ready to put on the market and I’m already exhausted from the process even though we just started.

    2. Congrats Stephanie!!! NIVEA just told me you are one of the WINNERS!!!! They will be emailing you shortly to coordinate how to mail your prize to you!

      1. OMG! I am in SHOCK! I don’t think I’ve ever won anything before Ali!!! LOL! Thank you SO MUCH!!!!! Best of luck getting ready for your upcoming move too! It’s such a bittersweet time, but it’ll be so great to be in your new spot with your cute fam!

  35. Hi ali,
I just want to start off by saying thank you for this opportunity. I am recently discovering how self care is so important. I work in a busy doctors office, and by the end of the day I’m exhausted and as much as I would love to take time for myself, I don’t. I also make sure everyone else is taken care of before myself. I now realize, it’s time to focus on myself and have some “me” time. I love Nivea , such an amazing product, and it would be amazing to win this giveaway! Thank you so much!

    1. You have a big heart and that’s why you take care of others before yourself! SO glad you are starting to take better care of YOU! So important

  36. Hi Ali! You are seriously the cutest! And we appreciate you too! We truly do…tooo!! 🙂 I ‘luv’ following your blog and reading all about your latest fashion tips, Bachelorette insights and beauty products. So nice of you to give back to us, wow!

Heehe. For anyone also reading this, I also recommend the **Nivea Primer**, that stuff is amazing – better than the Sephora Primer! Makeup looks so much cleaner and it shows. ‘It’s like a really good snap chat filter for your face!’ SPOT ON GIRL SPOT ON. I also recommend the sunless tanner – gives your legs a super nice summer glow. The primer is the only Nivea product I’ve tried, but you know what I would love to try? That silk mouse body wash! 😀

SOooo why should you pick me? Hmm….Well, IT’S THE BIG 21st next week, August 16!!!! Woot, woot! And what better than to win a year supply of silk mouse body wash….on your 21st birthday!! That sounds absolutely fantastic! I’ve never won anything before so maybe this will be my year! 😀 Stayin hopeful! It’s also my last semester in college(eeeeeppp!!) I’m excited to finish this last semester. But honestly, I’m more excited that I will never have to work full time and go to school full time. ***monkey covering eyes emoji**** I gotta get that “me-time”, that got me excited! That sounds like heaven! So yes, I would love some “me-time”! I would be so excited to share some of the body wash with my mom, sister and aunt. They’d be so happy! And so would I!

    XoXo,
    Anna O. 🙂

    1. Oh my gosh!!! Why have I not tried the NIVEA primer?!?! Ordering it NOW!!!! Can’t wait to try it!

And happy early birthday girl!!!!! 21! Woo hoo!

  37. Hi!
First I love your blog and your family is so adorable! I am a mother of two adorable awesome boys! One is 3 and the other is 15 months. My 3 year old has autism spectrum disorder and my little guy is looking to be on the spectrum too. Those little guys are the hardest working boys I have ever known! My oldest has aba therapy at a center Monday through Friday 8-4 then has speech and ot on top of that! My little guy just started speech and ot as well! We are a very busy family! Ha! While the diagnosis at first was very hard it has turned into a blessing. I wouldn’t change a hair on their heads! Anyway, all the driving is the reason for the me time! Lol. Thank you for all you do!

  38. Hi Ali! Love your blog and have always loved your style and tips so thank you! I don’t know if I need some me time but I would enjoy it! I’m a career nanny and have been taking care of a now 16-month-old boy since he was 3 months and I love it! On top of always caring for him, I also have a (very appreciative) husband and a 9-year-old little doggy so I naturally always feel like the caregiver to people. I absolutely love it and wouldn’t have it any other way but I guess everyone should make a little me time. Thanks Ali! ❤️

  39. Hi Ali! I have been a big fan of yours since your season. I watch your insta story daily and have such an admiration for you and your family, you guys are so cute! I currently work full time with kiddos year around and love every minute of it. We also have our first baby on the way… due in January. I find it crucial to take “me time” to pause and reflect on the good things I am doing to make me happy and knowing that someday I will make a great mommy like you! Thanks for inspiring me <3

    1. Yay! Congrats on your first baby! And yes, you MUST take that me time now!!!!

And it means so much to be that you follow along on insta every day! xoxo

  40. Hi Ali!
I’ve followed you since I was a teenager.
Now as an adult, I need some “me time” because right now, football is starting up and I’m working 7 days a week in TV. I know you know how tiring it may be! Wouldn’t trade it for the world though! I love working all the time, but hey… a little “me time” would make my day! Keep being awesome.

    1. Lynden! Thank you for coming along on this journey with me for so long!!! That means a ton!

And oh my gosh! I GET IT! Working in TV is exhausting. Not everyone gets that (it look glamorous from the outside) but it’s SOOO tiring at times. Good luck following your dreams! Keep me posted on how it’s going!

  41. Hi Ali! Thanks for sharing your beauty tricks and tips. I actually use some of these myself and its just so nice to see that your giving some real and useful tips that actually are important for us ladies who are juggling so many things in life! I would love some me time for going back to school 😊

  42. Hi Ali! I love your blog! I read a lot but never comment … lurker 😳Haha. I would love some me time! I have three kiddos – ages almost 9, 7.5 and the littlest is 2! My husband works out of town so we only see him on weekends. The week days are always crazy, but it’s always fun chaos!! Thanks for the awesome giveaway opportunity !

  43. I recently became a Mom to 5 kids! I have two beautiful little special needs girl’s of my own and just became a foster Mom to 3 more! Need less to say I have zero me time in my day and I’m pooped! 😂 I would love to have to have some time to relax.

    1. That is so wonderful Jessica. The world needs more people like you! I mean that from the bottom of my heart!

  44. I love being a stay at home mommy to my 18 monh old little girl and I’m preggo with a little boy currently (16 weeks and soooo tired). I also just spent 20 minutes cleaning our hardwood floor and the beautiful white, fluffy rug in our little girls room because she’s teething (aka pooping non stop) and she pooped on the rug and floor. My husband is currently out of town as well so me time is always appreciated 🙂

  45. Hi Ali,

First thank you so much for being so open with your life! It so nice to read and follow other first time moms struggles and successes. Why I’m in need of some “me time,” I am a full time working mommy of a just turned two year old son who definitely has his temper tantrum moments. My husband has been working a lot the last month and still has a month or two to go where he works out of town Monday-Friday then works at the local office Saturday and Sunday. Only home Friday and Saturday evenings so I’m pretty much a single mama and it’s hard to find some quiet time. I have a great appreciation for single mamas because it is tough!

Thank you again for sharing your day to day 😊

    1. I am so lucky to have Kevin around so much. It must be really hard to have your hubby away! Take a bubble bath tonight when your little one goes to sleep!

  46. Please pick me for your Nivea giveaway because this mom of two boys needs something to look forward to after stinky football and soccer laundry! Thanks for a great blog. You are adorable.

    1. I’m not picking! NIVEA is at random. But you are entered just for posting this and comment on my FB or Insta. (You have to do both to enter)

  47. Hi Ali! I recently started following your blog and instagram. I’ve watched you on Bachelor and Bachelorette also! I love seeing your interactions with Molly. It makes me think of the day when I will have my own kids to love. Also, I love your style! Anyways, my birthday is in 2 weeks! YAY! Turning 25, quarter of a century, what a turning point! I work six days a week and would love some me time to relax and what better way than with Nivea’s body wash! Hope I can win!

  48. I think I would deserve some “Me” time is because I have worked 2 jobs (7 days a week) for over 3 years now. Initially it was to pay off credit cards. I did that, now I’m working on those damn student loans from 10 years ago (they just jacked up my payments to $250 a month). So here I am–a librarian with a masters degree and the only time I have for myself is Friday evenings between 5pm-10pm. 😥 Good Times

    1. Oh man. I have so much respect for what you are doing. That’s a lot. I hope you get to have a break/vacay sometime soon!

  49. Hey Ali!

I’m needing some “me” time for sure! I am planning a wedding (October 14) and a full time resident optometrist at a VA hospital. Free time to myself is few and far between these days! Thanks for the opportunity!

    1. Such an exciting time in your life! But being a full time resident AND planning a wedding?!?! I’m exhausted just thinking about it! 😉 xoxo

  50. Ali! You have some great tips! I have such a hard time curling my hair now that it’s shorter ( and not that short just below my shoulders ) I felt it was easier when my hair was longer. I am going to try to curl and leave out the ends. Do you use a certain wand or curing iron? I usually use my straightener to curl my hair since most of my curling irons are a larger barrel. Also I need to remember to use primer! Great advice about taking a bath to shave your legs. I feel like I’m always rushing to shave my legs in the shower. I need some me time for sure with an 18 month old son and a 6 week old son! I need to remember to make time for myself every once and awhile. I’m having a small glass of red as I type this 🙂

    1. I’ll try to do an insta story soon to show how I do it. I use a straightener sometimes sand a curling iron sometimes.

  51. Hi Ali!

I am in need of some me time for sure! I have two girls ages 4 & 2! I own my own company and do all my work from my home office while my girls keep me company! I am a high school softball coach, a dog mommy and have an amazing husband that is by my side through it all. Life is so good but crazy! I love your blog because you keep it real and I can relate to you in so many ways! Thanks Ali!

    Xoxo, Jackie

    1. I totally get how hard it is to run a business and stay home with the kiddos. That’s how it is with Molly and running my blog. And you have TWO! Your life sounds busy but full of joy!!!! Luv that!!!

  52. Hi Ali! I’ve been following you since you were the Bachelorette and read your blog everyday! I love that you share your beautiful family with us! I am a 46 year old mom and I am back in school pursuing my degree, working, and hoping to be a positive example for my son showing him that it is never too late to follow your dreams! I desperately need some me time and that Nivea silk body mousse wash sounds divine! Thanks for this fun giveaway!

    1. I hope to continue to do more giveaways with brands I love! So maybe you’ll win this time, if not..maybe next time!!! Every giveaway winner is picked at random 🙂 xoxo

  53. These are some great advices! I would love to win. I have two specia needs kids that I basically take care of on my own and I never get a break! I love my kids. It sometimes it’s a lot!!!!
I love watching your Instagram stories! Little Molly is so cute!! ❤️

  54. Girl- I need some me time with my full time job and my 3 and 1 year olds who constantly claw at me when I’m at home cause they miss me so much. I love them to death, but also need some time for me once in a while with my packed schedule! Not sure how you are gonna match this back to instagram, so my instagram name is zeetox4

    1. Giving your insta handle definitely makes it easier! NIVEA is picking winners so they will verify back to insta/FB. But thank you for that!

And ALL us moms deserve the me time!!! xoxo

  55. Hi there! 🙂 Nivea products are truly the BEST! Why do I deserve some me time? Well, I was recently laid off from the job I loved which has been tough. I’m staying positive though by putting my best efforts into the world each day! I’m not one to take time for myself, but maybe now is the time. 🙂

    1. I’m so sorry to hear that. But it seems like you have the right attitude! Something better will come your way!! xoxo

  56. Hi Ali,

I would LOVE some “Me time”. With 4 kids (8, 6, 22months and 6months) and going back to school at the end of this month, so some me time will definitely be needed every once in awhile just to stay sane and focused. Thanks for letting us in on your life & sharing some great tips along the way :).

    XO- Ashlee 🙂

  57. I love my babies so much but man could I use some me time! Also do you have reccomendations for a good sunless tanner and primer I just never know what ones to get.

    1. We ALL need it every now and then! I use a few but I am not 100% sure what I like best. Once I decide I will write a post!

  58. (I feel so selfish saying this) BUT…. I think I deserve some me time because in 6 wks I will be giving birth to our 3rd girl!!! (Oldest is turning 4 next wk😳🙈) Needless to say, me time will be MUCH appreciated and sought after! Lol

  59. Hello Ali!!!
I would love some “me time” !!!
I am still in school and always studying and trying to get through school. So this would give me a chance to take a break and give my skin some TLC! You are my role model when I become a mom! I love watching your daily life on insta and love to read your amazing blogs:)

  60. Just want to say that I’ve been a serious follower of yours for years and years!
I love the way you put your family first and like to love on other momma’s that are doing the same. I’m a new mom to two toddler boys (both under 4 years old) and it’s the greatest job in the entire world!

Also I’ve been using Nivea for years and it’s seriously the tops, wishing you and your family well! God bless!

    1. Cherie, thank you for commenting and thank you for following! I really want this blog to be a safe place for moms to come to discuss life!!! Thank you for being a part of it. xoxo

  61. Hello, what sunless tanner do you use?

So have tips for sure. First off getting mircoderm facial. Best decision for my skin. I did a series when first started but now I go like ever 2 months. Only time I see her is for if get a zit and need it zapped or for products. Which brings me to products I strongly recommend. The girl I go to uses only all natural products..skin care, make up and can even get deodorant. Skin care I use Nardo’s Natural skin care. They have a 3 step system cleanser, toner and moisturizer. I also have an eye cream. The toner is the key…prior to this never used this and evens out your skin so well. Best spot treatment i have ever tried! These products especially the moisturizer smell so good too. Make up I used Zuii Organic flower makeup. The foundation is light and doesn’t break out the skin. I use lots of their products and all amazing.( love the lip stick) lastly deodorant I use Native which can be bought online and I normally sweat like no other especially after the gym. This has really helped…plus smells fantastic and no awful chemicals put on your skin.

    1. Right now, I go to a professional to spray tan me. Trying to figure out what at home product I like best and I will report back!

Thank you for all your tips/suggestions!

  62. Love your blog! Need some me time because I have a 17 month old who is hitting those “terrible twos” early😬 and I’m pregnant with our second. 😷

  63. Hey Ali,

I’ve adored watching you since you were on Jake’s season and loved watching your own season! Your posts are so much fun and I appreciate seeing what another mama is going through. I could use some “Me” time as well. I am a SAHM to my 2 yr old and 5 month old and am potty training the 2 yr old. Needless to say I rarely get a moment to myself! Lol! I wish you continued success!

    Shelly

    1. I’m not where you are yet, but I hope to be soon! Just have to fix my hip problem before I get pregnant again.

  64. Hmmmm why do I deserve some me time?!? That’s hard to say! 😂 Well, my body has been through a lot this year, a cancer scare, sprained ankle, losing weight, and trying to get pregnant with our first baby!. I’m finally realizing how awesome my body is, and how thankful I am for all it has done for me!!! Thank you so much for all of your posts! You make me realize that being a mom can be hard, and fun, and happy, and awesome all at the same time! You inspire me! Thanks 🙂 Ari

  65. I would absolutely love to win this! I am a first time mom to a sweet 10 month old baby boy! I’m a stay at home mom and I absolutely love it, but it also means I work 24/7. I wouldn’t trade it for the world and have not left my munchkin for more than 3 hours at a time (by choice, I’m a worrier). This would be a great way for me to get some “me time” without having to leave the house! Thanks for the chance to win!

  66. Hi Ali!
I have a 3 year old and an almost 1 year old! I love all these tips since I am always tired ‘looking’ (whether I am tired or not!) I need to remember to take some ‘me’ time more often 😉 I love that you always keep it real in your posts and on your blog!

  67. What primer do you use?!? Your skin is beautiful. I just love your blog and all your advice. 🙂

    1. I have a few, but I’m not sure which I like best! I was just told the NIVEA one is great! I’m trying it next!

  68. It has been a crazy August! I have been planning my moms 50th Surprise party, preparing for my husbands graduation, planning our family trips and finally starting a new job in a week!! There has been a lot going on! I need me time!

  69. Me time! Oh Such a good reminder. No kiddos yet, but somehow still need to remind myself to do this! Working full time, plus wife duties (the best though!) , and all those “extra” weekly tasks still have me so exhausted at the end of the week! I always feel so much better when I am intentional with budgeting for a pedicure or an evening out with a girlfriend. 🙂
    Thanks for the tips.
    Love your blog, Ali

  70. Unfortunately I don’t have any beauty tips for you. I do, however, love reading yours and imagining how wonderful I could look if I were at all good with anything beauty related. I don’t find myself beautiful necessarily, but I also don’t think I’m not. I just don’t have the ability to “practice” beauty right now.. all of my time, effort and funds go to my 3 wonderful children, and I’m ok with that. I know that “me” time is important, I just don’t have the opportunity for it right now. My kids are 5, 2, and 10 months and take most of my time & money right now. I have always wanted to do microblading though, a goal to save for! That and I’d love a treatment to fix the pigment of my skin that my pregnancy horomones destroyed. Love reading your posts and following you on instagram!

    1. You sound like a great mama! But try to take even just a few mins everyday for yourself! It’s so important! Try the highlighter tip I mentioned above. It’s so simple to do and makes a huge difference!

  71. I work full time as a civil engineer and I work at an office that is mostly MEN. Not just men…engineers. It takes a toll on you after a while and sometimes I forget to take some extra time to take car of myself and indulge in some me time with some girly things!

  72. Hi Ali,
I’ve loved watching you on the bachelorette. Now I’m soo hooked in following your blog posts. Soo fun. Your feedback n helpful hints are awesome! Thank you
Would also love to try your recent suggestions n who doesn’t love some ‘me time’?? I’m in!! Thumbs up for sure.
    Thanks for considering me.
    Always my best….
    Jackie marino

  73. Ali, if absolutely love this wash!! I’m a mommy to a beautiful two year old little girl named ayla! My husband and I have struggled with infertility for many years. We start our next IVF cycle next week so hopefully we can have another little miracle soon!

  74. Why I need some”me time”. Well it is rare. I recently moved to a new state , with my husband and two toddlers ( 2 extra active toddlers). finding time for myself is an impossible task right now, all the energy goes to the kiddos:) which I wouldn’t trade for the world, but wouldn’t mind some mom time every once in a while 🙂 mom time is what gives us a little reminder that we as moms can do this!

  75. Hi Ali, first off I love your blog!

I am so glad you are emphasizing self care and me time! People need more of that and our society does not prioritize it!
I also have a hard time with the guilt of feeling “selfish” for taking time to myself.
I work in field where I am working with victims of trauma every day. I am often on call for about 2 weeks a month where I respond after my 8-5 job to victims of sexual violence and help those in crisis. I often have a hard time separating my personal life with my professional one (which I got into cause this field is something I’m personally passionate about!) and some me time encouragement would help a lot :).
Thank you for hosting this give away!!

  76. I’m one that is go go go nonstop with my almost 15 month old and never really give myself time. I almost feel a sense of guilt if I do (I know that sounds silly).

  77. Ali!!

I’m so excited about this post. I’m a new momma to a FIVE month old and finding me time is nearly impossible these days! With working full-time away from the home, I almost feel selfish when I’m off work and I want “me time,” — I feel like I should want to be with my baby! I love these easy tips you gave to make my life a little easier! This momma needs a hot bath with some Nivea bubbling soaps! Fingers crossed ❤️

  78. Ali, always love your posts but this one has me wondering … how do you get your hair styles to stay in place all day? I grew my hair out but often get frustrated shortly after leaving the house and just do that messy bun look. 😐 Its ok once in a while but I have it up more times than not.

  79. I need me time because I have 3 cute kiddos and sick pregnant with my 4th. I’m 19 weeks and still barfing multiple times a day. We are so excited for this new one, but man is pregnancy hard. Also a while back you mentioned a product you got from cvs I think that you use under your eyes to depuff them, do you remember what that was? I could use a tub of it right about now, ha!!

  80. This advice is so great!!! Thank you for taking the time to put this together. I need me time mostly to allow myself to relax and let go of some of the control and OCD that comes naturally being a mom to a toddler…eeeek lol. It’s so easy to not have “me” time so I thank you for focusing on the importance of this.

  81. Hi Ali!

I deserve/an in major need f some ME time! I have a 7 month old daughter, and she has recently been having some health issues so I’ve been fully consumed in taking care of her. I have no regrets or resentment, because she is my priority 1000% but I am now just so drained between that, going to school, and working part time ☺️😴

I love reading your blog and all your mom advice! And of course seeing little Molly grow up!!

    Cassie

  82. So I absolutely just adore you! I love your whole demeanor. You are just so humble and real. Would you mind sharing your favorite self tanner? I sit St Tropez and love it!

  83. Hi Ali, love following you over the years and enjoy seeing how happy you are. I could use a little “me” time to help me celebrate my 50th birthday which is next week and I’m a little anxious about. Although I have nothing to complain about because I have a great husband and two boys (10 & 12) who keep life very interesting.

  84. I definitely need some ‘me’ time. I had a baby 5.5 month ago. I also have a 10 year old. But I feel like I haven’t had me time in such a long time. Feel like a walking zombie. Don’t regret having my beautiful children but I need to learn how to give myself some attention.

  85. Hey Ali,
Although we have never met, I feel as if I have known you for years. I love following your blog and Instagram. I enjoyed today’s post. I’ve never thought about the difference in my legs when I shave in the shower versus the bath. Very interesting and so true!

I feel that I deserve a little more “me” time for multiple reasons. First, I am a busy mom of three active kiddos ages 12, 10, and 8. I am a third grade literacy teacher and often spend any free time working in my classroom. I have just recently turned 40 and worry that I’m getting lost in the craziness of life. At the end of the day I’m so extremely exhausted that all I want to do is sleep. This dreamy body wash would provide me the opportunity to RELAX. 😊

Again, thanks for great advice and I look forward to reading more posts!

    Fondly,
    Stephanie

  86. Hi Ali!
I am so blessed to have a husband a two great kids that give me a lot of “me” time whenever I need it. If for some reason I win the drawing, please donate my prize to a women’s shelter.
I love seeing your sweet Molly on your insta stories. She is precious! You can tell that you and Kevin are doing a great job because she is so happy!

  87. Hi Ali! I would love me time because I recently tore my ACL in my knee and will be starting physical therapy after surgery. I am a runner and had to drop out of my half marathon race. I haven’t been able to run in over a month because of my injury, and running is such an anxiety and stress reliever for me so it’s been hard! I feel myself consistently stressed at work (I’m a social worker at a hospital) and am still working on finding work life balance!

  88. Being a full time nurse, I often forget to unwind and relax. I would love to enjoy some me time with NIVEA!! Love all of NIVEAs products and love your blog!!

  89. Why I need some “me time”.. a year ago this month when I was 16 weeks pregnant my dad got diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Being 16 weeks pregnant with this diagnosing was so stressful as I was pregnant with his first granddaughter and I wanted nothing more than for him to meet her. His battle with cancer was hard, stressful, emotionally draining. I kept him at home as long as I could caring for him full time with home care. Fast forward to January 2017 when I was due, my dad ended up passing away 11 days before my daughter was born. (My mom passed away 8 years ago) It was the hardest most traumatic time and at the same time trying to be happy and excited about this welcoming a baby girl into this world. My husband works away so I was/am a full time mom 3 weeks a month while grieving the loss. My little girl keeps me going and is my strength but this mama needs some me time.

Thank you for being so open and sharing your life. I’ve been following you since your bachelorette days and I just admire you and everything you do!

  90. I definitely could use some me time, I work 4 days at a hospital as an ultrasound tech and I am a full time mommy to an almost 3 year old and have one on the way!! I don’t get much time to myself and don’t have time to unwind and relax. I would really love to try the nivea products to relax and feel refreshed. I enjoy your blog and insta-stories!

  91. Ali, I want you to know that you are amazing! You are so inspiring and so real! You post amazing tip but you keep things real and that’s so refreshing. I’ve enjoyed following you since bachelor and hope you keep this up! I am sorry to hear about your hip problems and hope it gets better! Keep being amazing!!

  92. Ali,

I have been a huge fan for a good while. I watched when you were on the Bachelor and Bachelorette and think you are so genuine and awesome. I follow 3 blogs regularly, and one of those is yours. I love it! Thank you for sharing your life with us.

I could use some pampering because I am a teacher of 5th-12th graders. I teach band and some math classes. I put in long hours during football season to make sure my band students can perform an awesome halftime show. I love my job and treat my students as if they are mine. I have not found Mr. Right yet. Hope he’s out there.. but I am happy and love life. Thanks for your beauty tips, and I’d love to get a reply. Love you, girl!

  93. The well deserved me time is not actually for “me”. It is for the “me” I hope I one day can say I actually am like. I know this sounds confusing but I am talking about my mom. She deserves this way more than I do. Yes I do a lot and work a lot and…. but I do not hold a candle to this woman. She was in a bad car accident many years ago and although she aches every day, it doesn’t stop her from doing anything! She currently helps my sister raise her kids in her home. She cooks, cleans, yard work, homework & back and forth with their school! And if that is not enough she comes to help clean my house and help with my yard work and laundry so that I may have a business! And to top it off now, I had to have surgery and was home for 3 weeks and she was and still is my everything. I do not know how she can keep going. By the end of the day she can barely stand straight up and limps home, but returns the next morning with a meal already cooked so that I eat something with my medication. And if that is not enough reason then you should know, that she grew up using Nivea in Europe and still continues to use this today! She immigrated here with the original blue metal container with barely any in it, (and I in her belly) and bought some more only after 2 years (because she couldn’t afford a new one until I was 2 and she went to work ) It is and always has been in our beauty routine, one because its still the best moisturizer and two because of the story behind it!
Even if you don’t choose her, Nivea should know that story!

  94. Hi Ali!
I’m a stay at home mom with two beautiful little girls (age 5 and 2) and a husband who travels a majority of the time for work. We have moved between three different states in the past year and a half, so managing the transition for the family has definitely been difficult. I don’t even remember what “me” time looks like anymore! Sometimes I feel like putting myself in a time out. 😂 I’ve learned that it is so important to take out time for yourself to thrive as a mother, wife and daughter; but, often times, as women we are so overcome with guilt that we don’t do anything about it.
On a side note, I really enjoy your blogs! And your style is something I try to emulate everyday. Thanks for being fabulous!

  95. Hi Ali, I would love some ME time since having my first baby 7 weeks ago. The me time has gone very far the way side and need a way to get it back. This would be prefect way to get myself to get it back.

  96. Thanks for the tips! I can’t wait to try the “leave out the ends ” tip. I hope my hair will look great like your hair. 😎

  97. Hi Ali,

My name is Karina- I had my first baby- Ethan – on 12/12/16 and My life’s changed ever since. As a new mom I had to figure out how to change my everyday things to include my son- simple things like going to the store, going out for a jog, eating out etc became harder to do. I am a stay at home mom now and spend all day with Ethan because his father works late. He loves to use his walker now and I can’t even go to the bathroom anymore without him looking for me 🙈 Some “me” time would be so lovely to have- I know it’s important but as of now I don’t get much of that until the baby goes to sleep at night 🙃😭😅 I read your blog and enjoy relating to little Molly. Thanks for sharing with us!

  98. Hi Ali, I love reading your post and learning along with you in your journey. I will love some “me time” before the start of the school year. I have 2 kids (11 and 6) and is been exactly a year since (Aug 4) I have a doble breast masactomy. For the past years My husband and I have been trying to have a baby but it’s been impossible ( 2 misscarriage). I love my family, they have been my light that the end of the tunnel. Reading your blogs and seeing your passion for your family and for what you do hasn’t inspired me to keep going and always keep my head up and never give. Thank you Ali! You are amazing!

  99. Ali your amazing! It seems like your always thinking of others.

I need “me time” because I realize that I start to snap at my 3 boys (8,5 and 11 months) when I start to get overwhelmed.

This giveaway sounds great! And perfect for the Mommys out there

  100. Hi Ali,

Thanks for always being so open and sharing you life and style with everyone. I love following you! I hope you find some ease and solutions for you hip pain soon!

I know everyone is in need of some much needed “me” time, especially women. We tend to work so hard in everything we do; whether it’s motherhood, our jobs, or taking care of the household (and this included many men too). Taking care of ourself always comes last. Although I’m not a mom yet, I have found that I devote a lot of my week to my work. I’m a third grade teacher. Then of course I’m taking care of my two fur animals.

  101. My daughter Courtney has been working so hard and yesterday 8/8/17 passed her probation at Disneyland and even did it early. I think some pampering for her would be just the thing she needs.

  102. Thank you for this awesome opportunity for some “me”time! I could really use some me time as our family starts a new school year together…my baby will be a senior in High School and I am trying to stay present in the moment and enjoy our time together before she heads off to college! I remember when she was little so wanting to see the next new phase and I still am excited to experience her new phases in life but I also want to enjoy them more and be present as time seems to fly by faster each and every year! Thank you Ali for this opportunity to win some “me” time…I enjoy your posts and being able to watch your sweet little Molly and her new phases…she’s so darn cute just like YOU! 😊

  103. I need some me time, we had my son and two grandkids move in with us last dec. while going thru a divorce. The kids are 15 and 12. My husband has diabetes and Graves’ disease. I have fibro, but the worst part is the chronic fatigue. We are making it work. I have my two fur babies, who always make everything better. Just tired of the constant running. 😉 Just need quiet time.

  104. I’m trying to learn how to get some “me time” since I started staying home full time with my two babies, 3 and 1! Staying home full time means no breaks, so it’s essential I find “me time” every day!

  105. Ali! I love your insta posts and enjoy your blog. You are absolutely gorgeous and I love that you keep it real. Your girl is adorable! I would say I need some me time since I have 3 kiddos 🙂 I have never tried primer- but want to give it a try now! I hope your hip situation heals soon! My beauty tips are using Rodan + Fields!(which I sell 🤣) But the reason I love the products are because I’ve never gotten results until using these. I love The glow that the Reverse Regimen gives me and the AMAZING eye cream which reduces puffiness, dark circles and wrinkles & love my Lash Boost which grows my OWN lashes and Brows and the new Active Hydration Serum which has 200% Hydration! I promise you would love any of the products! Let me know if you would ever like to try something 🙂 Take care!!

  106. Hi Ali! I want to leave this info here for you! It’s related to the hip pain! I don’t want to be intrusive. The most I ask is to read with an open mind! You’re awesome and I enjoy your blog very much!

    http://alltheragedoc.com/

  107. I need some ‘me time’ because balancing a career and family is tough! I love my job and I love my family which makes free time hard to come by! And my daughter just hit the 18 month sleep regression!!! 😴 I love your posts Ali!! Thanks for keeping it real!!

  108. So miss Ali. I love this post. Are you going to do a a actual makeup tutorial or what you exactly use for your “makeup routine” I would love that. Please please please pretty please. Or have you already done that and I missed it.

  109. Hi Ali!

Regardless if I win this giveaway or not, I want you to know that I thoroughly enjoy reading your blog and watching your Instagram stories. I enjoy watching just because you are 100% down to earth and real about everything you share, no phoniness, and you are so genuine. So thank you for that. Anywho, I need some me time BECAUSE I have a 4 year old son and 2 TWIN girls who I love very much however, I am never able to get away lol They’re still nursing so they are hanging on me 24/7 and are always wanting their milky. Also, my husband and I are currently going through sleep training and I can’t even tell you how difficult it is sleep training 2 nine month olds at the same time. We could pull our hair out 😜 Thanks for reading!

  110. What mom doesn’t need me time, right?!?! I work full time and then am also a full time mom to my amazing 10 year old son. If we aren’t shuttling to soccer practice, a game or to a friends house I’m working with him on school work. I love every second of it, wouldn’t trade it for anything, but some “me” time sounds amazing. Side note, I was born with hip displasia (is that how you spell that??), they didn’t find out until I was 2 so I had to have surgery as well. They checked my sisters at birth and one had it as well but because she was so young they fixed it with out surgery (exercises and a bunch of cloth diapers on at once). You will feel 1000% better once you have the surgery (if that is what they feel is the best course for you), hang in there.

  111. Ali thank you so much for your tips! I’m definitely going to try the shaving in the tub – I always shave in the shower!
I think every girl deserves me time because we are extreme multi-taskers without looking like we’re busy at all! Personally I’ve taken on a new role at work while still doing my old job (until they find a replacement) all while planning a wedding! It gets overwhelming sometimes but I know it’s all positive life change so I wear smile while doing it!

  112. I need some “me” time because I am a single mom of a very active 10 year old. She is currently away at summer camp. Sounds like it would be relaxing for me right?? NOT!! I am currently fighting with myself to fall asleep since my alarm for work goes off at 4:30. My little lady is camping in the Northern Maine Woods 2 hours away from me. Ahhhhhh. I think I might need to copy your looking wide awake when completely exhausted tip tomorrow. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  113. Hey ali!

Long time fan since the bachelor! Love this give away and thnks for giving back! I try my hardest to save our family money wherever possible, my fiancé and I are both in careeer transitions and things get tight sometimes. We have two fur babies like Owen 🙂 my fiance does everything possible to make my life easier and he loves almost every Nivea product we’ve ever had so I’d love to win this for him, it would go to great use! My fiancés name is shaun. Thanks!

  114. Ali! You are seriously the sweetest soul! I’m not one to comment, but I think it’s amazing, that Nivea has given you the opportunity to give back to your followers. 🙂 As much as I’d love to receive such an amazing package, I’d really like to be able to spoil my best friend with it, as she truly deserves it. She has had a very tough year. She lost her Dad, who was an incredible man and the true foundation of her family. It was so hard to see her family deal with such sadness. She also has two kiddos, 5 and 7, who are my kids besties 🙂 they def keep her on her toes. She was a stay at home Mama, until recently, when she decided to go back to school and take courses, to open her own astecthis business out of her home. She is honestly such a selfless, generous, creative, driven and caring person I could go on lol but u get it.. to see her deal with so much and push through for her family, is truly inspiring. She has a heart of gold and amazes me every day. I’m so grateful to call her my best friend and truly believe, she deserves to spoiled. Thanks for the opportunity 🙂

  115. I need some ‘me-time’… No, actually, I deserve some ‘me-time’ sounds better ;-). Single mom by choice, best choice ever (thank you, anonymous donor), Loïc came 10 weeks early, but I will never be somewhere early again LOL (he’s two now and doing great). Oh, and btw, I love the original Nivea smell!

  116. Hi Ali!
First off, I love your blog! I haven’t missed a post since I began reading about a year ago! I am a new mom to my beautiful little 4 month old, Addison. She is my world. As well, I have 20 other little munchkins that hold a special place in my heart too…I’m a 2nd grade teacher. Being a wife, new mom, and teacher…I need some me time! Best of luck to everyone!!
    ❤️ Erin Knipp

  117. Hi Ali,

First of all I will start by saying that you were my all time fav bachelorette! When people say Ali? I don’t remember her?! I literally want to cry because how can they not remember such a genuine, beautiful and down to earth woman like yourself? Then I show them your blog or your instagram and BOOM it comes back to them!

Secondly, I am not a mama like a lot of the comments on your post, however I am a student (who just recently graduated) and am now looking at becoming a school teacher. As a young woman, my passion is to teach children learn and watch the grow! I don’t think there is anything more rewarding than watching children of all ages learn something new everyday. I could imagine you are blown away at the things Molly teaches you daily! I would LOVE some me time more than anything and I would appreciate it very much! 🙂

  118. Thanks for sharing all of these awesome beauty tips Ali!! I’ll be turning 27 (I know thats still young) but have been trying to keep my skin looking younger!! I just recently bought a clarisonic brush and started moisturizing every day!! After studying nursing every day, some me time is always nice to have!!

  119. Hi Ali, I need me time because I, too, have an almost 13 month old! I am also a social worker which drains my energy most days. Me time helps me focus on being the best mommy I can be.

  120. I love all of the tips! As a busy mom of a preemie, full time accountant, wife and trying to loose the baby weight I don’t get much me time. I need to work on more me time to relax and recharge.

  121. Hi Ali!
I’m a newly divorced mom of a 7 yr old Finnigan , 4 yr old Mila & 1 yr old Knox – I never ever have me time!! Lol if I do I’m too tired to enjoy it!!
I need to learn to relax & pamper myself a little bit the time I don’t have my kids, instead of running around like a crazy lady trying to clean, & do all the chores I didn’t have time for !
Just wanted to tell you I loved you on the Bachelor shows, your daughter Molly is a doll, love your adorable dog, & you seem like just the nicest, most genuine woman. I wish you & your cute family much happiness!
    Amanda

  122. Ali, I could really use some “me time” more than I’d like to admit. It’s hard juggling a husband, one year boy (who is into EVERYTHING), and a full-time office job! I’d love to find time to relax in a bubble bath like you said, but doubt I’ll ever have time! Ha. Maybe NIEVA can give me some products I can use in the shower instead? Thanks! PS- my own beauty secret is oil sheets… can’t live without them! Only way I can keep the shine off my face without piling on more makeup! 😉

  123. I am a 61 yr old single mom of 2 adult sons. I am in the 13th month of ‘kinship fostering’ my nieces kids, a girl who is now 5, and a boy, 14 months. I work full time and my old a**is tired 😂 Its hard enough to look good at this age, throw in very little sleep and its a challenge!

  124. Hi Ali,
Oh how I love to take breaks from my current graduate work to check your wonderful blog on a daily basis! I’ve kept Nordstrom in business this year purchasing many items you’ve posted, raving about them to all my girlfriends. You’re definitely a superstar rocking mother, wife, and blogger that so many of us adore! I’m current working on my Masters program as I work full time as a special education teacher. As much as I would love some “me” time as I give most of my heart to my students every day, I would love even more to give it to my mother. As a single mom of three, she worked hard to provide for us all, and all that I am is because of her. AND she always looked AMAZING doing it! I definitely get my love of fashion and finding great buys from her. So it would mean more for me to give her the “me time” as she never took any for herself in all these years. I wish you much health and happiness watching your sweet Molly grow into a wonderful daughter who I know will look back and be beyond grateful she had you as her mother 🙂

  125. I love watching and reading about you and your adorable family! I hope in a few year I get to experience the same moments that you have recently! I just finished my undergrad as a full time student back in April and jumped in head first to the CPA program. I am taking 2 of the modules at once instead of just one and am also moving provinces this month! Super busy and exciting time in my life that also can be pretty stressful at times but I couldn’t be more thankful 🙂

  126. Hi Ali!
You’re amazing and love your blog! I think I need some me time because I’m a full time working mom and have two little ones at home. My husband works graves so it makes nights and mornings sometimes difficult without his help.
**i’ll have to try the highlighter tip!

  127. I work insane hours but I always try to have some me time! I shave in the shower because it virtually eliminates the possibility of razor bumps. It’s the only way I shave now!

I personally love having a cup of green tea a day. I like the kind with rose petals in it but green tea has done wonders for my energy, brain clarity and skin. It’s like my little miracle!

  128. I think everyone deserves a little “me” time! Bubble baths are my favorite but with a busy work schedule I can’t find the time for them as often. Between work and freelance and volunteering it seems like everyone needs something from me! It’s good to take care of yourself so you can take care of others.

  129. Hey Ali! I love reading your posts because our babes are only 2 weeks apart! She is my first little girl as well, so it is fun to see how your dress Molly, your maternity/non maternity outfits , and all of your great advice for new moms! I know this is supposed to be an entry for “me time”, but I would love this for my mom! She lives out of state and just broke her femer, shoulder, and wrist from a fall! She never takes time for herself, but now she is forced to slow down and recover! I flew home and spent a week with her when it happened last month (my first time without my baby!), and we are all headed there again in a week to help her recoup! She is the best grandma my little one could ever ask for, and I would love to spoil her!!

  130. I need some “me time” because my baby girl just turned 9 months old and we are ALWAYS together! Which is amazing and I love it, but since she was born, I’ve only been away from her maybe 3 times while she was asleep! I EBF so I’m always nearby so I can nurse her at any time. I would love to have a nice spa day and a massage, but for now, some lovely Nivea body wash will do 😉

I love seeing/reading your IG and blog and watching Molly grow!

p.s. I want to get my eyebrows microbladed too! But I was told I can’t do it while I’m nursing. Were you told the same thing when you got yours done?

p.p.s. I’m planning my baby’s 1st birthday party and I’m hoping you can update the links in your blog post soon as I would love to know which shops you used!! 🙂

  131. Hello Ali,
My name is Alexandra I’m a mommy to a soon to be 13 month old on Friday! It’s exciting to have a little princess running around the house but it does take a toll on me. When I’m trying to have some “me time” it’s mostly with her hanging from my back. Lol and lucky for me I work at home as my husbands provider. Normally my escape place is our bathroom. And sometimes (mostly every time) I have two little hands trying to peak through the bottom of the door. And yes highlighter on the inner corner is a must for me it makes me look less like a zombie and more like a 21 year old that I am.

  132. Me time?? Ha! What is this thing you call Me Time?? Lol yes… Me time wpuld be a blessing. It’s hard sometimes thinking your worth a little Me Time when you’re so used to always doing for others. Just recently my oldest graduated and my youngest is starting senior year. My world is changing…. They are needing less of Me and I am feeling a bit empty and a little lost. All bittersweet tho.

  133. I enjoy your blog – great job! I need ME time because I work too darn much. I thought it would be less when I got closer to retirement but it is the opposite :(. ps- appreciate you made a statement about sunless tan. As a person who continues to deal with skin cancer, I love whenever I see others post the importance of sunless tans😊

  134. I’m sure there are many that need “me” time more than I do 🙂 but I have an 8 month daughter (have LOVED all of your blogs about Molly) and one on the way! I work as well so not much time for me 🙂

  135. Hi Ali!

I love reading your blog and seeing your posts on instagram! I would love some me time because everyone deserves to pamper themselves every once in a while! I am a full time college student, working to pay my way through school and I also hold multiple positions in my sorority! I just finished 3 summer classes so I would love some me time to just relax during this two week break until I start fall semester with another full course load!

  136. Hi Ali,

I’ve been following you for a while and when we had our first baby around the same time (my daughter was born 7-2-2016) I started following you DAILY for all the tips and support and a general friendly face. I need “me” time because I quit my job to be home full time for my baby and it’s even harder than having a full time job to ever get away for myself.

    Thanks!!

  137. I am a full time teacher and grad student. Sometimes I just need to hide under the covers and pretend I’m not an adult to get away. Thanks for the awesome tips!

  138. As a mom to crazy 13 month old twin boys, step mom to an awesome 14 year old girl who we have full time, wife, and SAHM, I could use just a little bit of “me” time. It’s so easy to put our own selves on the back burner yet so necessary NOT to! I wish all the women could win this!! xx

  139. But now we all want to know what makeup brands you use 😉 Found you on Home & Family, (I’m only 29, but I’m obsessed with everything Hallmark channel…. I get made fun of haha) and I love your style!

  140. Hi Ali,

Thank you so very much for this amazing opportunity and for always sharing your life and great finds with all of us!! I would absolutely adore some me time and this amazing giveaway. My life has changed so much in the last 10 months. My beautiful Momma got very ill at the end of last year and no one could figure anything out. Months of visits and specialists and new Meds and nothing. She kept getting worse and on March 1st, 2017 she was rushed to the closest hospital from a doctors appt we were at. She was in the hospital and rehabilitation centers for almost 2 months and almost didn’t make it, but I’m so blessed to say she is still with us. At the end of April they allowed her to come home. They had found Meds that seemed to work and help her heart, however, she came home bed bound, wheelchair bound, and unable to do anything for herself. It was my Mom and she needed me, so I had to leave my job. She is such a strong woman and is getting her glow back, but still has a long recovery ahead of her. After going through all of this, it changed my life and my perspective. See, I’m not the healthiest as I am extremely overweight and after seeing my Mom get so ill… it made me think about my future and my health (her health issue wasn’t weight related tho). I decided I had to change my life. I finally began my weight loss journey on 6/12/17. It’s been just over 8 weeks now and I’m down 57.8 lbs naturally, from a lot of hard work and dedication. It’s not easy and I have to push myself every single day, but I want to get healthy and stay healthy so I can be around to ensure I can always care for my family. With taking care of my family and my own health it doesnt leave very much time to have any pampering or relaxing time for me.

This would be amazing and so much appreciated!! Good luck to all!! Also, Ali and anyone else who takes the time to read this, thank you so much!

  141. Ali,
I enjoy reading your posts, particularly about mommy and baby related posts because your Molly and my baby E are a week apart. I know how difficult it can be as a mom to take care of ourselves but understand how important it is to take time out of each day (even if it is just minutes). I’m a California girl living in a small Colorado mountain town. This harsh and dry climate has my skin going absolutely crazy. You’ve been raving about this Nivea moisturizer and i’m looking forward to trying it out here in the mountains. Cant believe we now have oe year olds!

  142. Ali,
You are the cutest! Thank you so much for sharing your beauty tips! Love the curling iron trick! I love how you do your hair, can’t wait to try that! And who doesn’t love a good primer?!
I’m writing on behalf of my sis in law Nicolina who needs some “me time”! She’s a mom of two-my nephew Vinnie is 2 1/2 and my niece Alivia is almost two months. Nicolina goes non-stop 24/7 and is such a committed momma! I want her to be able to have some “me time”! She deserves it!

    Thanks Ali!

  143. Hello, Ali!
Im from Brazil and a huge fan of you since Bachelorette!
Love your blog and your tips!
And your bachelor(ette) recaps are the best!

  144. Ali,
I would love to know what lipstick and sunless tanner you use! Your lipstick in this post is gorgeous!
    Thank you!!
    Katlyn

  145. Ali, I need some mommy time. I am an athlete, full-time working mama. I’ve been following you since day one and you inspire me.

  146. Hi Ali!

I’ve once heard an interview with Pharrell, when he was asked about his song “Happy”. He was asked why “happy”, and his response was “Because we deserve it.” A simple statement, but so powerful and true at the same time. We often forget that we can and should do things for ourselves that make us happy. We should treat ourselves more, because we deserve it. We really do.

So why do we need me-time? Because we deserve it. We owe it to ourselves to be happy and be the best us.

  147. I love following you Ali! You are so down to earth and real! I love that! I am a mom of 5 (26,25,23,21,15) and truly enjoy your journey!! It’s all such a blessing. Enjoy! It goes by fast!

  148. Love these tips! I have something called chronic Lyme disease which I have been doing 4 years of treatment for and still have to spend 75% of my time in bed every day. Life can be really tough some days & you can feel super crummy about your appearance and that your husband will love you because you don’t have the energy to take a bath or wash your hair let alone get dressed most days. Anyways, these last few months have been insanely exhausting because of some life circumstances so I could really use some pampered “me” time to feel beautiful again.

  149. I totally need some me time! I just graduated with my master’s, my baby boy just turned two, and I start teaching 5 classes of 7th grade students on Monday!!

  150. Hi Ali, love reading all of your posts!! I would love some ME time.. since having my daughter, she just turned a year old 2 weeks ago, I have yet to put me first.. totally crazy to think that my first everything is for her.. I’ve finally gotten back to a workout routine.. and after going back to work after only 3 months with her, I’ve been pretty exhausted lately.. would love to take time for me only to be a better mom to my little love ❤️

  151. I would love some me time. I don’t even know what me means. Who is that? I am constantly busy with my 5 yr old and my 1 yr old, I forget all about me. Oh!!! And not to mention I am a preschool teacher. You’re probably wondering, how does she do it? I ask myself the same thing everyday. Something about children just bring light to my life and I just can’t steer away from them. The only really me time I get is when I do photography. The camera is my getaway, it’s my little escape but boy! could I love some actual me time. Btw I love your blogs. You are such an awesome mommy and your family is so sweet. Love ya!!

  152. I love reading your blog and your posts. As a new Mom to a 8 month old I have enjoyed your advice and sharing some of the real struggles of being a mom. I would much enjoy some me time, even though my favorite “me” times lately are ones where my daughter is with me! 🙂

  153. Hi Ali!
I have been a fan since your days on both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette! I could use some “me” time because I have 4 kids ages 16 down to 3 and my husband is a teacher and coach. He works long hours especially in the fall. Thanks for all you do for us readers!

  154. I’m trying to give myself more “me” time after having spent the past 46 years putting children and grandchildren, husband and well, anyone or anything else before my needs. I’d love to win the Nivea…I know that won’t solve everything but it’ll sure help!

  155. Hi Ali,
Most recently I have started reading your blogs and I enjoy them. Thank you. Although I’m a mom of 3 ages 5,9 and 14 and am pretty exhausted with their crazy schedules, there is someone who deserves some “me time” more than me….my Mom. She has the kindest heart! She works 50+ hrs a week and top not trying to raise and care for my high school aged niece and nephew. God bless her. I hope I win for her…thank you again!

  156. Hi Ali! I have been such a fan of yours since The Bachelor/Bachelorette & then continued to keep up with you on E! News and your blog. You’ve become such a role model to me as I’m pursuing a career in broadcast journalism. I’m going into my senior year at San Diego State University and already thinking about the stress of the school year and balancing a full-time job. A little “me” time would be perfect as a reminder to just breathe and take things one step at a time as I plant my seeds for my future career and life in the “real” world.

  157. Hey Ali-

Your blog is amazing! I love all of your shopping, beauty, and bachelorette good finds and updates! A little me time means checking out of social media, phones, and emails. I’m currently in a part-time MBA program taking classes on weeknights after work so sometimes it feels like i can’t check out because there is always something to be done for work or school or visiting family. I’ve really tried to make an effort to put my phone down, stop looking at social media and just spend time with my boyfriend and our dog. Even if that is watching a movie then we are ACTUALLY watching the movie and not surfing Facebook!

  158. Hey Ali!

I’m definitely in need of some “me” time because it’s been such a busy summer for me. I am currently studying for the admissions exam for dental school, working on my personal statement, volunteering at a local free clinic & homeless shelter, and of course, babysitting my niece & nephew! I love every second of it but the long days are catching up to me! Also just wanted to say thank you for being so real and sharing the “not so pretty” parts of your life. It’s inspiring to see your push through and still get it all done on top of being such a great mama to Molly!

  159. Ali! Thank you so much for the beauty tips! I am constantly forgetting to wash my face at night and exfoliating, I need to just set aside time for myself each day to make things like this happen! I am 27, I work full time as a nurse, a mother of three and a wife to a wonderful husband! My son Braxton is 6, he is my oldest, and my huge helper! My daughter is 2 and she is my little spit fire! Then I have a son Andrew he just turned 4 months! They keep me super busy but I cannot imagine my life without them. Working full time, being a full time mom doesn’t give me a lot of time left for myself or my husband. I really want to be the best person I can for myself and for my husband too and although he hardly ever complains I know he wishes I took more time for myself and better care of myself. As much as I want to it’s hard for me to do it because I’m a nurse at heart and taking care of everyone else before myself “it’s what I do!” I can’t help it sometimes. So when I say I need some “me” time, it’s not only me who wants it my husband wants me to have it too! Maybe it would make me a better nurse, wife, mother and more importantly a better Version of myself!
    Thanks again Ali for sharing!

  160. Want a little more me time ‘me time’ so that I can be rejuvenated to be able to keep with my bebe and take care of my hubs and fur baby, too! And last but not least to take care of my fellow Soldiers in my job as an active duty service member 🇺🇸

  161. Summer is coming to an end which means going back to teaching full time and leaving my 2 boys (3 years and 11 months) for the day 🙁

  162. Well, hello and thanks Ali! And thank you Nivea for this wonderful giveaway. My dear friend Robbie had open heart surgery. Went great but she had a mild stroke during this. She deserves some ‘me’ time! She’s works hard during her therapy!

  163. Hi Ali!! Thank you so much for this awesome opportunity for a great giveaway! I am a full time employee of the YMCA and I am going to school for my Masters Degree in Business Administration. I often have very little time to take care of my skin as I am running to work or school. I would love to win so I can take some ‘me’ time and relax with Nivea.

  164. Mom to four and rarely get “me time!” I don’t remember the last time I actually had me time, or a date night. Would be so blessed to win! Ps. I love your blog and posts, Ali! Thanks for being a bright light and joy to everyone! And your insta stories! 😍💕💕

  165. My friend Natalie is a stay at home mom to two cutie boys and needs some more ‘her’ time. She is a wonderful mommy!

  166. Hey hey hey! (It’s faaaaaaaat Albert! Haha, sorry. It had to be done!) 😂😬 Don’t judge me. 😂 “Me time” would be so great right about now. Haha, is there such a thing after you pop out a child? I’m a stay at home mom of a almost 2 month old little boy, Oliver! After being pregnant, I swear my skin has changed (besides the stretch marks 😱🙈) back to its acne days and I have been searching high and low for a good body wash. I’ve spent too much money on soap and I’m desperate to try anything to see if it helps, plus its free! 😜
P.S. Your eyebrows are the bomb.com girl. As far as makeup goes, Im a lost cause. 😂 All I know is mascara is this girl’s 🙋🏻 Best friend. Alright, I’m gonna go take a nap now before this baby wakes up!

  167. Rhonda is too sweet! She needs some “me time” too! She’s a busy working mom with two beautiful girls, and still has time to be an amazing wife and friend!

  168. Why do I need some me time? I’m a mom too! Working full time to pay for my kids college tuition!
Psst…I have my eyebrows microbladed too! My sister is a make up artist and a damn good one! Love her! She could use some me time too! @ellaesthetics

  169. Thank you for sharing your tips! I’m about to become a mom for the first time and love hearing tips from great moms like you on how to keep smiling and stay energized. Definitely going to need some “me” time come next month but can’t wait for our little one to arrive!

  170. Hi Ali! Avid follower you and your blog! Love seeing your daughter as I am a new mom to a 6 month old!

Can’t believe you have Hip Dysplasia! Me too! Got diagnosed in my late twenties and had PAO surgery to correct it 2 years ago! One of the most difficult things I’ve been through, so I feel your pain – literally! Here is my story on Hip Dysplasia Institute : http://hipdysplasia.org/patient-stories/adult/lauren/

Enjoy me time and relax that Hip! You deserve it!

  171. I am a first time mommy! My daughter will be 6 months on Friday. “Me”
Time is spent driving to work or going to Walmart for last minute gas drops for my sweet girl while my husband puts her to bed:) I love being a mommy, it’s the most rewarding job, but also the most tiring! I appreciate your genuine spirit and love for your little girl.

  172. Hi Ali,

As a “stay at home” mom of two, I already feel that this contest could help me out a tad! Moisturizer? Shaving? Makeup? I kind of forget what these products are and do! When you often don’t leave the house anymore, rarely do I spend any time caring for myself. I used to work full time as a teacher. I’d wake up, dress up, put on my “pretty face and fancy hair”, but now, I rarely seem to do most of those things. I rarely take time for me. Whether it be my health, “beauty” regime, or spending time with friends,… all of this has gone by the wayside. This might seem like a “sad” post, but it’s not. I’m very happy with the simplicity this life has brought my family and I. Aside from the fact that I do need to start putting my own health first, which I’m working on, I do enjoy not having to do too much beauty-wise. I love how you got the microblading done to your brows! I’m realizing I’m a lot more about simplicity than I used to be. I love getting lash extensions done for the same reason. The “get up and go way of life” is so much less hastle when your kids are in 5+ hours of dance and 5+ hours of either ice sports/baseball a week. I just haven’t the time anymore. Life has just changed. It’s gotten waaay busier. But I love the action! I love seeing the happiness, growth, progress, friendships my children are making. Best of luck in your motherhood journey! It’s such a fun ride!!!

  173. I’m a busy stay at home mom of 2 (ages 2 and 4) and a little break for “Me time” is essential to help me be a better mom. Whether it is a bubble bath, hot cup of coffee, or even having a little time to organize the closet while listening to the music I want, the little things help to recharge me 🙂

  174. I’m so bad about taking my makeup off at night. I don’t wear much but I know I need to be better about washing my face and moisturizing at night. I’m almost 36 and have definitely noticed wrinkles appearing in the last year 🙁

  175. Hi Ali,

I just had a baby of my own and still trying to find “me time”. We are in the process of getting use to our new normal. However, I wouldn’t trade my little girl for the world! Also, in Oct we had planned a vacation and bringing the little one! I was just curious how old molly was when you brought her on a plane for the first time. I also have been looking all the time for that nursing hoodie you posted in your blog about and it’s still out of stock. Do you know of a similar one? I’m dying to get one!

  176. Hi Ali!!

I am a mommy to a beautiful, kind, fun little girl named Leah. She is 2 and she is a ball of energy! I work 40hrs a week and so any time I’m not at work, I want to be spending with her! (I’m sure you know the feeling!) Since I spend all my free time playing with baby dolls, watching Beauty and the Beast, having tea parties, and swinging on a playground with her 🙂 it become so easy to put self-care aside. I could seriously use some “me time” because I KNOW it makes me a better mom when I am fully recharged! This product seems amazing and I feel like I would love it!! Especially since it’s so easy to use and sounds so luxurious! I would feel a lot less guilty spending a few minutes in a pampering shower, as opposed to a few hours at the spa!! (still dealing with mom guilt, even at 2!! lol) Thanks for sharing all of your tips!! xo

    Elizabeth

  177. Copying to make sure you see this. Btw- don’t we all need me time:) Yes to women recharging!
    Ali –
Trying to make sure you get this message as I went through the same excruciating pain. Mine was SI and hip dsyplasia -sp? also. The injections did help the SI but only one thing helped with the hips. After 2 years- yep?! ( I was too stubborn to have surgery) a Dr told me to try the McKenzie method – a series of stretches – and it was crazy how much it helped! It got rid of the pain and it didn’t take long! Google it or order the book. Here’s a link to one of the 2 that healed me. If it starts up again down the road- do these asap.
It says it’s for lower back or sciatica but these will help you- I promise!

  178. Hi Ali!

I am a mom to two wonderful boys, a 3 year old and an 8 month old. Any time not spent at my full time job is spent with by boys (kiddos and hubby included). I been having major mom guilt for working full time and not staying home with them. Lately I have been having anxiety about just playing “catch up” all the time … whether it’s cleaning the house, breastfeeding and pumping bottles, laundry, dishes, etc. I feel I can never get ahead, just barely staying afloat! Maybe if I had some “me” time, it would recharge me a little bit. I’m horrible at stepping aside and making “me” time because, you know, the whole mom guilt thing … I’m already away from the boys so much I feel horrible doing anything for myself. But I do understand it’s needed and maybe something like this would help me realize it a little more and force me to take a little time to myself and understand that it’s okay! 🙂

Thank you for sharing your journey. I really enjoy your blog!

    Salina

    1. Ahh!! I totally get the mom guilt! And the pumping all day at work exhaustion. The fact that you even recognize feeling guilty means you’re a wonderful mom and wife, I think. You’re doing great!!!

  179. Hi Ali!!!
I need some ‘me’ time because I go back to work very soon (I’m a teacher) and I just got engaged so planning our wedding !!! I want to look my best!!! ❤️❤️

  180. Thank you for the beauty tips!! I always shave in the shower. Who knew I was missing out on smoothness?!

We moved back to Montana from Cali last summer with our then 4 month old (he was born April 2016, just before Molly!) because my father in law was diagnosed with brain cancer. We managed to get jobs (we’re both teachers) and find childcare all in August right before the school year started. Thankfully my father in law is doing quite well considering everything. I would realllllllly appreciate some me time as we have had company nonstop this summer (like 6 weeks straight with one night without!!) and we start back at school in just about 10 days. Ahhhh. Haha. It’s so nice to be able to be here and be supportive, especially bc being around our son is so relaxing for my in laws, but life sure has changed dramatically!

  181. Recently going through a 24 year marriage ending due to infidelity on his part. I need to find myself again and learn to take care of me first. Started therapy in hopes to learn healthy ways to cope with life everyday challenges. I really look forward to your honest and positive outlook and great advice. Keep up the good work.

  182. I have to admit, I think I’ve almost lost sight of what “me” time is. I was in an abusive relationship, got pregnant, and now have a BEAUTIFUL 18m old. He has never been in our life so I’m working hard to be the best parent my LO needs. I’m in school for 17 hrs at the moment and working on my free days. I try to spend as much time with Amelia as possible which leaves absolutely no me time. I’m okay with that because I feel like nothing is better than my time with her anyway! I breastfeed exclusively for the first year so I’ve been following you & your story. I’ve loved you since the bachelor & you’ve become such a beautiful mommy! Me time would be nice because it is something I could do at the house while she is here with me, being I don’t have much time to go out. Thankyou for reading and thank you for taking time out to be there for others! You are such a beautiful soul inside & out! Have a great, blessed day Als!

  183. Hi Ali I’m recently married and my husband and I don’t nesscarily was “me” time but us time would be nice! 🙂 I’m currently starting college back up at the end of August so some stress free relaxing with my husband would do just great! Thanks for this give away and God bless xxxx

  184. Hi Ali!
Love this post and definitely needed to read it!
Would love some “me” time as I have a 10 month old son and heading back to work in a month!

  185. Hi Ali!

I would love some “me” time because I just graduated from college, which was definitely stressful at times, and now I’m about to start work soon!

  186. I enjoyed your Beauty tips today, as I shared it on FB, I mentioned that I just came back from a 4 week Europe trip (Ireland, France, Italy and Greece) and managed to go to the Pharmacy many times (sinus infections suck!) and they had so many Nivea Products. I managed to buy a few face products and sunscreen while away, but cant seem to find them in our local Pharmacy’s/Drugs stores or Targets. I look forward in using the Nivea Body Mousse and yes I also agree with shaving in the Tub!

  187. Hi Ali
I don’t need any me time (my daughter is 18). What I need are some suggestions for a good foundation and concealer. Does anyone have any?

  188. I need me time because I just spent the past two months studying for a big exam for my job, and I passed! I need something that will help me relax 🙂

  189. Hey!!
I would love to win this! I have 2 young girls, one 3 year old, and 9 month old! We just moved into our house, and my husband works 6 days a week! I would love some me time!!!

  190. Dry Shampoo has been a lifesaver for me. My fave is the affordable and amazing, Batiste (can get at Target)! It knocks the esssspensive brands right out of the water! I find it works better for me if I use it at night and sleep on it. I have super thick combination hair so dry shampoo lets me go days with my straight hair!

  191. I absolutely deserve some “me time” that doesn’t involve trying to go to the bathroom solo! I am a stay at home mom of a 16 month old, 3 & 5 year old. My goodness are my days packed! We officially started Kindergarten last week at home. Yep Homeschool is our game! By the end of the day I am looking for some me time. Oh the joys of parenting and teaching rolled in to one.

  192. Thank you so much for sharing your tips!! I’ve tried the “ends out” trick and it totally helps my hair look cuter! Now for the giveaway – I am giving my dad a kidney next month and am already nervous about how awful I’m going to feel and look! It’s totally worth it but would love anything to make me feel better! And I would of course share with my mom who’s going to have to take care of two whiners for a while! 🙂 Also commented on Instagram. <3

  193. I always love “me time” as I work 5 days a week and try to keep up with kids activities, workouts, meals and housework!

  194. Love reading/following along with you and your sweet family, Ali. I’m also a FTM to a little 16 month old boy who I still call my baby. 🙂 My husband and I both work full-time and have had the craziest of all crazy summers (I really feel like we’ve had something EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND). So, we are SOOOO ready for a break and some downtime once the summer is over.

What a fun and generous giveaway! Thank you so much!

  195. Hi Ali! I love reading your blog and following your journey as a wife, mommy and blogger! I would LOVE some me time; I work full-time in a demanding job, have a busy 2.5 year old boy and also manage to fit in triathlons in what spare time I have 😉 That leaves little down time for relaxing for me, although I know it is SO important!

  196. My “me time” after a long day of work is my baths!! No kids for me yet, but I still need this time to gather my thoughts, relax, and always remind myself to “just do today” and be present!!! It’s so easy for me to start thinking about things I need to get done in a week, month, two months.. and I just need that time to focus on today! And live in the moment (or try to!)

  197. Hey!!’ I need some me time because I have a 8 month old and I’m a stay at home mom! Love reading your stuff!

  198. I had a little girl a few days after you, Ali. Went through a bout of PPD and anxiety and following your IG has brought levity and comfort during an all but certain phase of my life.

I’ve never been a bath person, but perhaps that’d could be an undiscovered self care tactic. Thanks for the suggestions here.

  199. I grew out of baths once I became a teenager and rarely take baths (once a year is even rare!), but recently, I have discovered that taking a nice relaxing bubble bath can really help! I would love some me time. I’ve been working full-time and taking classes on the weekends/weeknights to obtain an MBA degree. Working full-time with a job that frequently requires overtime while also taking classes really ramps up the stress and completely demolishes your free time. I love what I’m learning, but would love to get away to relax and refresh myself for the upcoming school year

  200. I need more “me” time because that’s the only time I get to REALLY take care of my skin! I try new things, dive into my favorites, etc. Clearly, I need to spend more time learning about primer! what is it? is it expensive? what’s the best? does it work on all skin types? Off googling…

  201. So excited about your giveaway! Thank you for sharing your life with us. My son just turned one on July 15th and it was so fun seeing Molly’s birthday party post the week before his Pooh party! I need some “me” time because my husband had an auto accident in May that resulted in a broken ankle. He is still not weight bearing so I have been taking care of him and my son. Don’t get me wrong, I am HAPPY to because I have still have him with me after the accident and I am thankful for that. But some more me time never hurt anyone!

  202. I would love some “me” time! Not only is me time important for mental health, but it is where I feel most relaxed 😌. I am currently in graduate school, transitioning from being a special education teacher to doing behavior therapy full-time, and trying to be the best wife I can be! Thanks for providing the amazing giveaway! 🙌🏻

  203. Ali,
You are so beautiful and such an inspiration to all of us! Kind hearted and honest, that’s not something we see all to often anymore and so thank you for that!
I would love you win this giveaway because “Me time” is something I forget about all to often. I have a 3.5 year old, a 2 year old and am expecting my third child. My husband works 7 days a week while I stay at home with our children which is a full time job in it’s self while staying on top of house work, laundry, yard work, shopping, meals and keeping up with my girls and the growing baby. It’s rewarding yet exhausting. I would be so honored and grateful to win this giveaway and give myself a little more me time!

    Thank you!!

  204. I have worked every day (EVERYDAY) since July 4th and late nights (yay having two employees out on leave) and am taking two grad school classes. Sadly on top of it all I’ve been wading through some health issues and trying to make sense of my new reality. Me time is a must (it’s just a matter of finding the time)

  205. I’m currently in grad school and about to start teaching fitness classes so life is about to get even busier! Would love to win AND I absolutely LOVE all Nivea products! They’re the best.

  206. Would love a little “me” time!! We’ve got two little guys ages 3 and 1 and just found out we’re having a little surprise baby soon 😍 Shocked is an understatement but we absolutely can’t wait to add this little bundle to our crew! We just moved across 3 states and I work a full time job on top of loving the heck out of my little guys!
    Absolutely love reading your blog!

  207. Couldn’t everyone use about an hour more “me-time” each day?! I’m a kindergarten special ed teacher, just finished my master’s and bought my first house! Can’t believe all that’s been accomplished this year but I LOVE my relaxing nights with wine and a good movie in bed. 🙂 I love watching your Instagram posts, you are so down to earth and kind hearted. Molly is my favorite too, what a cutie!

  208. Every mom deserves “me” time the problem is that we don’t give it to ourselves. Having this product to try may force some of us to separate that time for ourselves. I have two young ones and work full time. I am a therapist and need to listen to my own advice sometimes. Thanks for the chance to win Ali! I have been following you since the Bachelor and appreciate your genuineness and candor 🙂

  209. I am not one to ask for “me” time generally. I am a Mom. However, as I have grown older, I see the importance of it and the message it sends to my 3 daughters. I have always heard that things get easier as your children get older. I am busier now than ever – moving oldest into het 1st apartment, college visits, the list goes on. I am a transplant coordinator nurse working with patients all over the country. Guiding them on their unchosen healthare journey is the most rewarding thing I have ever done, but many days my tank is empty at the end of the day. Me time, however brief, rejuvenates me; makes me a better mom and a better health care advocate. Thank you for this opportunity.

  210. Great tips! I moisturize every night and am always on the hunt for the best one. I also like to use a good eye cream and I too wish I had started sooner.

  211. I absolutely wash off my makeup at the end of every day…but like you, I have forgotten to do it on occasion – and boy, do I feel filthy when I do. I can just feel the pimples sprouting when I don’t wash my face before bed and wake up to realize my mistake! One thing I do now that I did not use to do, is take off my makeup with micellar water before using my cleanser. It really does assure that I get all of my makeup off 🙂

  212. Would love some “me” time. I’m a grandmother and enjoy taking care of my two beautiful ( 18 mo and 4 yrs) granddaughters but boy, they wear be out. Love your blogs and have been your fan since your Bachelorette days! Love how you stay true to yourself!

  213. The Botox looks great!!! I’m sure Nivea is great but no way it makes deep wrinkles on your forehead disappear!! Very obvious and nothing wrong with having it done.

  214. Hi Ali,

I was wondering if you have any tips for sunless tanning if you’re nursing and holding a baby alllll the time. I used to use self tanner every week but can’t now because I’m afraid it’ll get on her and tan her too haha. What’s the secret?

  215. Thank you so much for this. If you could list the other products you use, like what highlighter and sunless tanner, I would GREATLY appreciate it. Being a single mom I need all the help and beauty tips I can get. So grateful you take the time to let us all know where to buy everything you wear and all the tips you post. Thank you thank you!

  216. Hi Ali,
Thanks for sharing your journey as a mom with us! Molly is adorable! I have a 8 month old baby boy born on Christmas morning and a 9 year old step son who I have been Mom to since he was 2. Needless to say our life is full of soccer games and nursing! I haven’t been great at “me” time since having my little one. It’s always the thing that gets put on the back burner. Working and taking care of 2 boys is exhausting but rewarding at the same time! We are currently teething, sleeping training and still nursing! Any tips on your go to’s for daily makeup and moisturizer? Especially an easy mom makeup routine? Thanks!
