We’re Getting Married!

Today is a HUGE day! Kevin and I are going to the location of our wedding to do a walk through with our wedding planner! I know she has a beautiful vision for our big day and I can’t wait to hear all about it. It’s crazy how fast time is flying by. But at the same time I feel like we have been engaged forever! (I already call him my husband and fill out paperwork as Ali Manno since I’m so over calling him my fiance and it’s so much easier to write than Fedotowsky Ha!)

It especially feels like a long time since we had to postpone our wedding twice! The first time was because I got pregnant (even though we were trying to get pregnant – weird logic on our part I know. Ha!) and the second time was because of the Zika virus. Long story short, we were supposed to get married in Mexico at the most incredible resort, but then the news about Zika broke and we just didn’t feel it was fair to ask our friends to travel there especially since many of our friends are either pregnant or planning to get pregnant soon.

Well, no more postponing! Our wedding day will be here before we know it! And I have to say that I’ve never been more in love with this guy. Seeing Kevin be the absolute best dad in the world to Molly has made my love for him grow in a way that is completely different than my love for him when it was just the two of us. I guess “completely different” isn’t the right way to say it. I don’t even know how to say it. I just respect him more than ever and the love I have for our family is beyond any love I’ve ever felt.

That said, things have certainly changed and not always for the better. I mean – let’s be real. We are SO sleep deprived and that causes us to bicker more than we normally would. Also, we sleep in separate bedrooms some nights. No, not from fighting. I feel so lucky to say that we rarely fight. I can’t even remember the last time we got in an actual full blown fight. Maybe twice ever honestly. But we’re sleeping in different rooms on some nights because it’s the only way we will ever get any sleep with an infant! Kevin sleeps some weeknights in the guestroom because he has to get up at 4am to go to work and I spend some weekends in the guest room so I can sleep more than 3 hours at a time. Kevin will give Molly bottles throughout the night on those nights. SO we make it work and even thought our relationship dynamic has changed, our love continue to grow in ways we never knew before having Molly.

Anyway, I just wanted to share that we are officially in wedding countdown mode!!! Woo hoo! I won’t share the actual date, but I will say it’s in the first half of 2017! I plan to share some of the wedding planning and excitement with all of you on my blog! So grab a virtual glass of champagne (or sparkling cider!) and let’s toast to love! Whether it’s loving your partner, your child, or yourself! Love is a wonderful thing 🙂

And while you are here check out my outfit details below! My army green jacket is a FAVORITE of mine, See me wearing it HERE too. So cute right? And these boots are to die for! They are the perfect fall boots. They go with everything and are really perfect for gals on the go since they are flats and so comfy. Also, they zip all the way down to the foot in the back so you wont have a problem getting them on over your calves or taking them off! I know that can be a problem sometimes with boots for women with muscular calves. So these are great for that!

I also LOVE LOVE LOVE my bracelets. They are very personal to me. I have the “Daughter” Alex and Ani Bracelet and the M for “Molly” (or Manno!). Kevin’s mother Joanne gave me both of them as gifts and I couldn’t love them more! They would make lovely gifts for those you love this holiday season! More outfit details below!

  1. I love following your blog and I love listening to Kevin in the mornings via iHeartRadio! I got married last fall and we’re now expecting our first little baby (Lennox Amelia), in February! Love is seriously the greatest! I also love that we all get to follow your journey! Congratulations and I can’t wait to see pictures!!

    1. Beautiful name! My good friend has a son named Lennox and my niece’s name is Lennon. So I obviously love it!

And thank you for listening to Kevin’s radio show via iheart. It makes his day when I tell him about listeners like you from all the over country!

  2. We have a 4 month old and my husband and I sleep in separate rooms some nights too for the same reason! It’s better if one of us is rested, so we switch off feeding our son and getting rest 🙂 it works really well! Best wishes with wedding planning! Your daughter is adorable and it’s been great following your blog, especially as a new mom! You are such a great mom too!

  3. Congrats to you all! SO exciting! On the sleep issue, yes, you will indeed sleep again, trust me. Until Molly is a teenager and going out with her friends….haha. Seriously, my kids are older and I have 13 grandkids. I had my kids way before there was ‘sleep training’ and you just waited it out or let your baby cry it out, within reason. My 3 babes all slept in my room for the first 6 months and my youngest actually slept in bed with me. I have to say I got the best sleep with her! I realize a lot of people would judge for that, but keep in kind in my day, there was no Internet and moms didn’t judge other moms like they do today. In any case, don’t make it too complicated; you don’t need books, it’s all normal growing and she will sleep longer one of these days and soon. Best of luck to,you, Ali! I love your blog!

  4. Hey, Ali! Warning, this is going to be a long post. I cannot wait until you get married and I hope you share tons of photos that you, your soon-to-be-but-basically-already-husband, and Molly can all look back on one day! I remember one Snapchat that you posted before you were pregnant, that at one point, you said you didn’t think you were all that attractive looking. That absolutely shocked me, because when I look at you, and I’m sure when Kevin does, we all see a beautiful goddess. If you choose to televise your wedding, you bet that I will NOT miss it for the world! You are one of my favorite bachelorettes, and although you didn’t end up marrying the guy you ended up with, I think that you found an absolutely amazing guy to spend the rest of your life with! I’ve been following all of your snapchats, instagram stories and photos for a few years. To be honest, when I see that you post snapchats and instagram stories, I always watch them last, because I’m the kind of person who saves the best for last! Throughout your engagement and sharing you and Kevin’s relationship, I see you and Kevin as a couple role model for my husband and I. Now that you’ve become a mom, I really hope that I can be as great as a mom as you are when I have kids one day! Seeing Kevin being such a great dad, it just makes my heart melt. Seeing all three of you together and having you include us in your daily life, makes me want to tear up everytime I see you guys. It’s so obvious you both love each other and the love that you both have for Molly is just so endearing. You both are, will continue to be, and will always be awesome parents! I hope that the day that you finally officially tie the knot will be absolutely magical for you and Kevin! You are going to be such a gorgeous bride! I’ll probably cry when I see your wedding photos! To me, in every post you make, whether your hair is crazy or whether you’re ready for the day, you are so stunning. All in all, Thank you so much for including your fans in your life. You, Kevin, and Molly inspire me! If I ever have a bad day, I know I can always look at all of your posts and I will always have a grin ear-to-ear when I’m finished looking at them for the day. All in all, I can’t wait for you to be Mrs. Manno officially, may the day be unforgettable and everything you two have ever dreamed of and reach way beyond your expectations!

    1. Lilah – Thank you a MILLION times for this sweet message. It brought me to tears!!! Thank you for following my story and for saying such nice things! Based on what you wrote, I know you have a HUGE heart! And that will make you a great mom one day 🙂 I am proud to know that I have followers like you! Thank you for being you! Sending you so much love!!! xoxo Ali

  5. Hi Ali, I too have followed you from the very beginning. I just love your story. I’m not much when it comes to social media, but I do check on you every day. I love your pictures, your posts, everything about you. You are such a beautiful person inside and out. You have a wonderful little family now, and I wish the best for you and Kevin. I can’t wait to see wedding pictures. My great-grandson was born about 2 weeks before Molly.
Again, I can’t tell you how much I enjoy keeping up with you.
    Best Wishes Always
