Easy Sophistication

Hi guys! Today’s look was perfect for a meeting I had today. I’m definitely not trying to do too much while I’m taking time to be with Molly. But a great potential opportunity came up and I thought it was worth it to get dressed up and take the meeting. Which honestly make me happy because I’m working on stuff that I hope will benefit Molly in the long run. The dress isn’t exactly nursing friendly, but it’s so cute that I didn’t care. I didn’t need to nurse her while wearing it luckily, but if she was hungry, I just would have pulled it down in the car like I have in the past. It’s not easy but I make it work! Kevin was once again a saint and waited in the car with her and would call me just in case she needed to eat.

When I got dressed earlier in the day, I knew I wanted to have a cute/girly but sophisticated look for the meeting and this dress was perfect. I love the lace detail on the top. It pulls the eye upward and draws attention away from my big ol’ booty πŸ˜‰ I’m wearing a size 8 FYI. Normally I’m a size 6 but I still have some baby weight to lose and needed a size bigger in this dress. I didn’t mind getting  the bigger size because if I lose the weight I can always get it taken in and if I don’t lose the weight for a while (or ever!) that’s totally ok and now I had a gorgeous dress that fits! It’s part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (Yay Nsale!) so it’s a great price too! In fact, my dress, blush jacket, and burgundy purse are all part of the Nsale. You guys know I can’t resist a sale!

The light pink/blush jacket would work for a cool summer night, but it’s also heavy enough to work in the spring and the fall. And the winter too if you live in California or the south. And I wish you could see my nude heels in these pics! They are PERFECT for a new mom (the large heel makes them SUPER comfortable) or just any woman who wants comfy pumps!

Anyway, I have to say that it felt pretty good to go to a work meeting today. I LOVE being a work from home/stay at home mom and wouldn’t give that up for anything. But putting on a fabulous outfit and getting out into the world, made me feel really good today. Like I was working toward something to give Molly a better life. And that makes me very happy πŸ™‚
